"Y/n," Tanjiro called out to you. And being the obedient servant you were, you immediately knelt in front of him. "What is it, my lord?" Tanjiro stopped his training for a moment, his curiosity getting the best of him. I mean, a few minutes of break for talking wouldn't be that bad, right?

"Why is it that no demon slayers come for you?" he asked without a second thought, though once he did, he immediately flailed his hands around, immediately coming off to a conclusion that what he's said might sound quite improper. "It's not like I want you dead or anything! I'm just curious.."

You lifted your head up to look at him, before getting up from your position, a seemingly permanent smile on your face. "Oh, it's alright. However, the story is quite long, would you mind listening to it?" you asked, though once you did, his head nodded up and down so fast that you thought there'd be a high possibility of it coming off.

"Listening to a story whilst standing up may be uncomfortable for you. I suggest that you sit down," and without a second due, a blanket was on your hand as you laid it down on the ground, before gesturing towards Tanjiro to take a seat on it. "W-Wait, you can sit too, you don't have to stand up tha whole time," he said as he rubbed the back of his neck, bashful as it seems.

"An order from you shan't remain undone," and as you said that, you are now face to face with him, ready to open your mouth to fill his current state of curiosity. "Now, shall I start?"

"No! Don't kill her!" the man shouted as he stood in front of her, arms spred wide open as if the action of his would actually do anything. "My, how laughable. Did you actually think that those blades of theirs can actually harm me?" you said as you softly laughed before placing a hand on your master. Though, it looked like as if you words fell on deaf ears.

"She's a Servant Demon! She doesn't eat humans at all nor harm them! There's no need to end her!" he tried to coax them into falling victim to his words. "Servant or not, she's still one. And it's better to kill her before she actually starts doing it," one of the demon slayers said, voice holding no remorse.

Tears cascaded down his cheeks. Even though he knew that it would be seemingly impossible for them to kill you, he forgot all that because of this. And as of the moment, he thought of only one solution. "Tsk! You think I don't know the one above you all?! I have close ties with him! Take her to Oyakata instead and let him test her if she'd give in to harming humans!

"And of course, I passed the test. With blood dripping down their arms, I couldn't help but to only feel disgusted at the sight," a frown settled on your face as you remembered the events that had transpired awhile back. "I was quite fortunate enough that my old master knows the man. If not, I would live my days being hunted down by those pesky humans," you sighed.

Tanjiro was silent for a moment, taking in all what he's heard. But, even though one question of his has been given answers, he couldn't help but have one still lingering on his mind.

"How did you meet my father?" he asked you out of the blue, though you weren't surprised in the very least. You knew that this moment would soon come, so you were quite ready to answer this without a second thought.

"Ah, that. You see, servant demons like I can only be injured by one weapon: Death Scythes. These are the only ones that can penetrate through my form of defense, something which I truly despise," you shook your head at that as you rubbed your temples. "It was something that is only used by a small group of humans. I can only wonder how they've gotten it, but I do know that it's been long since it's been phased out for it doesn't work on normal, pitiful demons," you continued to explain.

"I had managed to get gravely injured by those back then. And what ticked me off the most is that my regeneration isn't working. If that moment lasted longer, I knew I'd have to accept my fate and say bye to this world of yours. Fortunately," you paused before placing your full attention on your master's face. "Your father patched me up. How he did that, I did not know. One thing for sure was that I'd be forever in your debt, the whole Kamado's even."

"I served him without asking for any compensation. Usually I'd ask for one's soul, but that was not the case for him. He can order me as long as he like, and he needn't have his soul consumed by I," your hand was now placed on Tanjiro's cheek, your smile growing wider once you saw how he greatly resembled Tanjuro. "You look so much like him- ah, oh would you look at the time. You need to get back to training, sire."

Tanjiro was still in a trance, gulping as he tried to lower his body temperature. It isn't the first time that you've managed to get this close to him, but it seems that no matter how often it is, he just can't get used to it. His hands would start getting clammy, and he was sure that his heart beated so loud that he knew you'd be able to hear it.

"Should I carry you since you find it hard to stand up?" you asked him as you offered him your hand. After a few seconds, he got out of his stpor before shaking his head and taking the hand which you offered him before finally getting on his feet.

"Now, let's start again."

A few months have passed after that. He introduced you to Makomo, something that greatly entertained you. He was still trying to slice the border in half, but no matter how much he tried it, he couldn't do it. Until one fateful day.

"Oh, who is this?" you gestured your hands towards the one wearing the fox mask. "Ah! He's Sabito," Tanjiro introduced the mask-wearing man to you. The man nodded at you and you did the same out of respect. You couldn't help but cover your mouth with your hands, covering the chuckles you are currently emmitting. When would he notice the fact that these two aren't even alive anymore?

"Finally, after six months Tanjiro," Sabito paused. "You have the look of a man," he finished. Moments after, the two started to do their breathing techniques. It didn't take long before the two started. And once Tanjiro saw the opening thread, his katana followed through it, and not long after, the victor was clearly apparent.

The mask broke in half, and there it showed the face of whom he was fighting with. Even though the sides of his mouth were tugged upwards, the lingering sadness in them wasn't that hard to point out. Though what shocked him the most was that instead of seeing the mask he sliced, he saw the boulder slashed in halves instead.

Tanjiro was still. Still unbelieving of what has happened. "Congratulations, master. You did it!" you clapped, showing how happy you were for him that he had managed to pass Urokodaki's final test. And speak of the devil..

"Tanjiro, to be truthfully honest, I didn't have any plans in sending you out to the Final Selection after the countless of lives that's been taken because of that," Urokodaki explained, and as he did, you scooted over to the boy, placing a hand on his shoulder.

After the trainer's speech ending, you knew it was your time to butt in. "Ah, I forgot to mention this. I'm going to take the exam of the Final Selection with you, my lord." Tanjiro's head slowly turned towards you, eyes wide, jaw slacked.

W-What?!
