It was now the third week without seeing your loving boyfriend, well more specifically your third week in home quarantine due to covid. after everything, like school, closed you didn't get to see yamaguchi anymore.

instead you were left to yourself which wasn't all that bad because i mean you did have animal crossing to play. luckily you picked it up before everything shut down.

you just never had anyone to play with. until now.

*bzzzzz bzzzzzz bzzzzzz* your phone buzzed from the coffee table in front of you. you set down your switch and picked up your phone to see it was yamaguchi who was calling.

"hey babe" you said answering the phone

"hey! guess what?"

"what?" you asked back to the question

"sw-4313-2652-7330" (that is actually my switch code if you wanna friend me😌)

"huh? yams are you speaking in code?"
you heard him laugh through the phone as you connected the dots. "HUH YAMS YOU GOT IT?!"

"hehe yes i finally got the digital version! friend me so we can play!"

"i will! read the numbers again pleaseeee"

after you successfully added him on switch you opened animal crossing back up again and friended him though the game.

with a smile he joined your island, obviously his had nothing because he just started so he went to yours.

he walked off out of the dodo airlines building and saw a beautifully designed island before him. you had everyone terraformed and decorated perfectly. your character ran up to his and spun in circles as he typed in the chat box for what felt like ages.

<wow y/n this looks amazing!>

you smiled at his message and quickly typed

you need up dragging him through the whole island giving him all of the fruits he didn't have and small things along the way.

the duo ended up at the museum.
[lets go on a museum date!] you typed

you quicky changed your character into a fancier custom made outfit and went inside. you both visited all of the fish areas making sure to take lots of in-game screenshots and pictures of what yamaguchi's character was doing, almost never what it was supposed to. the last room the pair went to was the butterfly garden.

you sat down on the bench infront of the fountain(idk how to describe that room) and waited for yamaguchi's character to do the same. but he didn't. he stood there typing for a strangely long time but finally finished.

the bubble disappeared shortly after yamaguchi dropped a yellow mum on the ground and sat down on the bench. you got up and picked the yellow mum up. you put it in your characters hair and typed

you sat back next to him and preceded to take billions of i game pictures with different reactions, none of which he had.

it's safe to say that you were smiling almost as much as you did when you were with him in person.
