your heart was racing, ears pounding. you were in the front bleachers. next to the Sensi of the Shiratorizawa boys volleyball team. your whole body was slightly shaking. all you wanted was to be a supportive manager of the boys team. but the memories kept flooding back. you were grabbed, picked up. spilling your drink of the floor as you drunkly laughed. you were swiftly and silently carried to another room by a being you didn't recognize. but you were drunk, powerless and couldn't stop what came after being thrown on the bed of a spare room.

you tried to snap out of it and focus on the game. Tendou scored a point. he looked back at you to see if you notice and you look at him clapping your hands softly. he could tell what was happening but couldn't do anything about it because he was in a game.

you heard the whistle of the time out being called by the other team as you smiled and tried not to show it. you didn't want to be a burden and worry the team. the team walked over as you started handing out water bottles.

"Y/n, this is semi's water" goshiki said to you looking for his water.

"o-oh i'm sorry " you said softly taking it back looking for his when it seems the whole team swapped what they had and got there own.

tendou walked up to you and you smiled softly trying to hide it again.

"what's up tendou? i saw you make that point that was awesome!" you softly said

he looked at you with a stern face. he was the only one you told. you and him were close and he swore not to tell anyone. his slender frame stood in front of you as you swiftly just wrapped your arms around his stomach, seeking comfort in the only way you knew how. he stood there for a second just letting you hug him. until the whistle blowed again and he had to get back on court.

he smiled at you and said, "i'll be right out we basically got the set"

you nodded and looked back at the score board. Your team had gotten the first set and they were at 18 points while the other team was at 11.

as the cheering set in again when points were made, you could feel your heart beat pounding in your hears. your hands got clammy and you gripped the water bottle tendou left next to you before he went back to the game again. you picked it up and just ran your thumb around the edge of the screw top. you felt some water dripping out as you notice it hadn't been closed correctly. you slowly unscrewed the water bottle top and closed it the right way, wiping off the extra water with the brim of your shirt.  and just like that the final whistle blew. you looked up to see your team cheering.

the team bowed at the other team and came running to the captain. you stood up still clutching the water bottle you had in your hands. you flinched and closed you eyes as they ran up to where sensi was, right next to you and you slowly stood there in a nervous sweat. it's not that you didn't trust the team you just didn't feel comfortable in large groups of people from the incident. you froze waiting for the boys to move out of your way. it felt like hours, heartbeat throbbing in your ears you remembered the object you were clutching. you scratched at a uneven part of the plastic molding on the bottom of the water bottle as you clung it to your chest.

soon the boys all scattered to grab their towels and their things to go change as you sat back down slowly and tendou came up to you. he crouched down to your level and smiled at you.

"you guys did great!" you said with a soft tone. and then realizing why he was in front of you. "o-oh sorry here" you said realizing he wanted his water bottle that you were clutching. he softly took it and took a drink of the water. he handed it back to you as goshiki called for tendou to follow the team and change so they could leave. he got up and followed them.

the gymnasium slowly emptied out as it got quite, you got calmer. you felt like you could breathe again. you still clung to the water bottle as you stood up and stared getting ready to leave. you grabbed all of the things sensi left behind and followed behind him. you and sensi waited by the boys locker room where you heard cheering from outside. you heard sensi say,

"they did good"

you looked over at him and nodded silently. seconds later all the boys filed out of the room. you heard sensi say with his booming voice,

"let's go the bus is waiting" you waiting for everyone to pass infront of you as you followed behind all of the boys. you watched he tendou's red hair move as he looked around for you. he eventually found you and slowed down to catch up to you. he softly took some things from your hands and let you hold his water bottle.

"h-here you need this" you said handing his water back.

he softly smiled and said, "you can hold it," you smiled back at him and clutched onto it. when you reached the bus you grabbed the container of all the water bottle and set tendou's inside. you put the water bottle carrier in it's own seat infront of yours as you sat down in the window seat of your pair at the front of the bus. you were looking out the window until you felt someone sit next to you. you slowly looked over only to have a sigh of relief that it was only Tendou. he smiled at you before whispering,

"it's okay, i won't let anything else happen to you"

you felt tears come to the brim of your eyes and you smiled softly at him. the bus began moving as you leaned your head on his shoulder. you softly moved his arms around you and whispered,

"thank you for everything Tendou Satori" before you fell asleep from all of the nervousness.

for the first time in a year, you sat, unworried, in someone's embrace.

okay so i'm sorry for this i needed to vent after i had a nightmare about some things last night.

i understand this is a hard topic and i do not meant to glorify it in anyway. if this offends anyone i will not hesitate to take it down just message me or comment.
