Putting the final crease, the young girl smiled and held it up to the sunlight. The piece of paper turning into a beautiful crane. She looked at it and sighed.

She set it down and touched it, light emitting on to the paper crane. It suddenly started flapping its wings and started flying around the room. It did a twirl around the girl. She giggled and put a finger out as the crane landed on it.

The girl got up from her seat and walked to her bedroom window. She slid the glass open and took in the fresh breeze. Putting her hand out as the crane lay on top of it, she solemnly looked at the piece of paper. The crane turned around and cocked its head to the side confused. The young girl let out a small, yet sad smile and whispered.

"Be free for me."
