Chapter 26 : Chaos and Colors

26 | 7:02 a.m. (two hours earlier)

"Alex, can you come with me, please?" I pleaded, my feet kicking up the sheets off my bed as I pouted against my warm pillow.

I heard Ellie meow beside me as her feet pattered on my back and I let out a harsh gasp in pain, her nails digging on my back. She needed to be groomed very soon.

"What do I get in return, Taeyong? I literally did not have a single ounce of sleep just to fix your online uploads and tracking all the new updates." He grumbled on the other line and I could hear a little jiggling noise and I knew that Alex teasing me further just to see if I backed down, but hearing the car keys wouldn't stop me anymore.

"Well I'll treat you to dinner next time." I offered and my body shivered slightly so I decided to take back my covers on top of my body.

"Hmm? What dinner? I need something worth it." He chuckled.

I pouted, a whine leaving my lips, "Fine! Eat anywhere you want, everything you want! Just please come with me!!"

He hummed, "Mmhm, thst seems like a fair trade. I'm on my way. You better get up and fix your things, I'll be there in about 30 to 40." He mumbled.

I buzzed in happiness, "Yay!!! I already took a bath so I'll just get breakfast!" I smiled and as soon as I sat up, I let out a loud sneeze.

"Oh fuck." I grumbled.

"You're getting sick." Alex monotonously continued and I could hear the displeasure thinning in his dark smooth voice as I heard the car door open.

I frowned, "I think so. Maybe recording so late without my hot choco wasn't a good idea." I whispered, passing a closed fist across my nose as I took a soft sniff, my throat starting to feel a bit itchy.

"I'll take a little longer, okay? I'll get you a few more things before we leave." He reminded me.

I could only sigh a tired 'yes', my head taking a slight thump of pain as I stood up, my whole body freezing in the cold weather. The call soon ended as soon as he started driving and I took Ellie in my hands, wrapping the blanket around me as I walked to my kitchen.

"Let's eat quick, okay? I'm getting that limited edition jacket, no matter what." I kissed the top of her fluffy head and I set her down on the counter before preparing my meal, humming a tune even if my nose felt clogged.

I prepared her bowl before placing it in front of her while I made myself some ramen after some contemplation and just slowly made some warm hot choco. I was not energized enough to make my own food.

So I sat there in the counter beside my cat, wrapped in a large warm fluffy blanket as I ate the cooked instant ramen and drank my hot chocolate, waiting for Alex.

-1 hour later-
"God damnit. I'm this close to throwing eggs at them." Alex huffed, his jaw ticking in annoyance as he looked out the passenger's seat window.

No matter how dull and stressed I was for the past five days, I couldn't help but laugh at such a rude comment, "Alex...." I called lowly in a warning tone.

"What?" He asked, turning his head behind to see where I currently sat in the van and I smiled, squinting my eyes at him, "I don't think the public would like to hear that from you."

He shrugged, "Well fans are shit."

I guffawed in laughter, my lungs letting free of such a loud sound and the air got caught in my throat because of it so I bent down and pumped my fist against my chest, heaving air.

Along those lines of the Christmas drop, I was also not feeling well due to my dry throat so maybe laughin wasn't an option.

"Damn, maybe we shouldn't have done that secret drop." Alex tsked.
