Chapter 46: The Reception

Lisa POV 

She looked everywhere for Jennie, she really wanted to know what was bothering her. After all those years.. she knows that deep down she still madly cares about Jennie. 

A couple hours later.. still no sign of Jennie.. but its not that she could leave without Justin who was currently playing with Ella, so it means that Jennie was still around 

The program began and there were a couple song numbers and dance numbers.. finally it was time for people to approach the dance floor for slow dancing..

Lisa finally saw Jennie enter the hall.. and was about to approach her.. when V asked Jennie to dance.. Lisa was jealous but she felt that she had no right to be.. so she just watched them... she felt like she was staring at an angel.. an angel that was no longer hers..

She grew the courage to walk up to them..

"Hey, mind if I cut in." Lisa asks V 

"Sure, go ahead Lis." V says as he hands her over and starts to dance with his wife 

"Hey...." Lisa says as Jennie places her arms around Lisa's neck 

"Hey, Lis.." Jennie says 

"Why do you look so sad?" Lisa asks 

"I am not sad. I am just happy for Rosie and Jisoo. They got their happy ending." Jennie smiles 

"Well, if two people are meant to be together, they will always find their way back. They were lucky." Lisa says 

"Hmm. Yeah." Was all Jennie could say 

"You are so beautiful Jennie Kim." Lisa couldn't help but say to her 

Jennie looked at Lisa after she said that and began to cry, she let go and she ran out...

Lisa chased after her.. they ran all the way to the garden.. when Lisa finally caught up and grabbed her hand "Jennie wait!" Lisa yelled 

"Lisa, I can't do this. I thought I could. Believe me when I said I really tried to let go.. I fooled you, making you think that I am okay.. I fooled myself too." Jennie said crying 

"Jen.." Lisa said "No Lisa, listen. I love you, I love you so damn much that I don't think I can ever unlove you. I am not telling you this to beg for you to love me again. But... But I think I need to leave." Jennie said 

"What are you talking about? We got here together, it is a long drive home, Jen." Lisa said 

"No. Not here.. I mean... Leave this place. If I really want to be able to let you go.. I need time. Which is why... I accepted an offer to work in Paris." Jennie said 

"Jen.. you don't have to do this..if this is about Mina.. I.." Lisa is interrupted.. "You'll marry her. I saw the ring." Jennie said 

"Jen.. Listen.. I am sorry you found the ring.. but.." Lisa was interrupted again.. "Lisa.. I am happy for you. I am hurting for myself but I truly am happy for you. You deserve someone who doesn't second guess your love. You deserve happiness. I had my chance, you love her now. I will be okay." Jennie says as she turns around about to walk away 

"Mina and I broke up, 3 months ago." Lisa said 

Jennie stopped in her tracks and turned around... 

Only to see..

Lisa with one knee on the ground.. holding a ring...

"Jennie, my life ever since I met you, was so full, of pain, of darkness, of uncertainty, but my life.. without a doubt was full.. with you I want to be hurt, with you I want to be sad, with you I want to fight and yell, and be jealous, and I want to be afraid, I want all those things with you, and with only you. Because with you, I am happy, I am whole, I am sure, with you I am alive, with you my heart beats faster than it should, let me continue to have all these things with you. I won't let you leave, Jen... and if this job is important to you. You better be ready to bring Justin and I with you because I am never.. ever... letting you go again... Jennie Kim... will you marry me?" Lisa says crying 

"I...you.. But..." Jennie said stuttering.. 

Lisa gets up and pulls her close.. looks into her eyes... and finally... kisses her. 

"Yes, Lisa. I will marry you. I won't let you go this time." Jennie says as she hugs her tightly

Fireworks start appearing in the sky.. the garden lights go on.. the entire gang witnessed the proposal... tears were everywhere..

"and Jennie.. if you really looked at the ring closely.. you would have noticed that it was the same ring I had given you... silly. Like you always said.. we were bound to find our way back to each other... I was your first, and you will always be my last." Lisa says as she kisses her future wife on the forehead..
