Sophies POV

      I was sitting at the edge of the hospital bed, sick of losing, sick of failing and now I had paid. I hadn't read the signs, hadn't noticed all the hints, and because of that Keefe was here, barely breathing. Oralies password failed and Elwin wouldn't let me in Keefes mind so we had no way of knowing if he was okay. It was weird to realize how much I truly took for granted with Keefe, I mean all the little things he did what if I never saw them again, his smirk, his laugh, I was struggling to contain myself my point. Edaline had to walk in as I let a tear fall down.                               "Oh honey.." Edaline came over and hugged me, "I promise, itll be ok" She looked at me and smiled sadly. "How can you know that?", "I just do. She than left the room leaving me in my thoughts. I went into the hallways just going for a walk when I saw Ro walking up to me.                         "Sophie listen to me, I don't know what will happen to Keefe but I cant stand looking at you crying over him without telling you his biggest secret," Secret, what did he do something. Did he know something. She looked at me smiling, then went on. "Blondie, he L-O-V-E-D you, Loved you. And let me ask you a couple of questions, Who was there for you when you thought you were broken? Who helped him when he found out his mom was evil? Who did you go to when you found out you were unmatchable? But most important of all, If you could choose one of your friends to save who would it be, and think about it hard?" I looked at Ro as she walked off, was she telling the truth, How could he love me? I was failing, I was struggling,. I walked back to the healing centre and tried to sleep.                                                                                                                                            I was in a black room, with all of my friends tied up. Then I heard Vesperas voice, over and over again. You can only save one. But the funny thing was it wasn't like with Ro. I knew exactly who to save.                                                                                                                                                                     I woke up and started crying. I finally figured out I loved Keefe and now he was gone. I didn't care about what Elwin said I had to transmit to him. But before I could I saw a note in the corner of the room. It read

You failed, you worthless girl. No wonder the Vacker boy didn't date you. Your worthless and you will lose, looking forward to killing you, Vespera

I couldnt breathe, the letter was true. I went into Keefes mind and I had to transmit.                                           Keefe, im scared. Im worried ill fail everyone. I didnt think it would be so hard to do this with out you but I cant think about the rest of my life without your jokes, and smile and comforting arms around me. Keefe I need you.                                                                                               I got out of his mind and heard Elwin gasp. I looked over and saw Keefes eyes open, he looked around slowly and then his eyes found me.
