Zara and Tony sat in the lounge room in Zaras place. She had her head buried in her hands as she stressed about Brooklyn.
"Z, its okay" Tony said and Zara disagreed
"No Stark, shes literally in my medical room, beat as fuck and killing my head" Zara said before grabbing a small pill and taking it.
"Should we bring anyone else in on it?"
"No, just us two and I'll deal with the ass hats who done it" Zara said as she sat down again
"Don't beat yourself up Z"
"No point in not beating myself up, I need a punching bag but its still on its way"
"Z listen to me, shes going to her through this and so are you" Tony said
"She's been sat on the bed for two hours now" Zara said as she looked at the security footage.
"True. Let's try again" Tony said pulling Zara up and onto her feet.
Zara and Tony walked to the medical room and sat down
"So when are you gonna tell us?"
"Z, I wish I could... it's extremely deep waters" Brooklyn answered
"How deep?"
"Tony I don't know, I'm in deep enough"
"Well then Brooke, let me and Zara help you swim to our level"
"There was a group, I was walking home from my gym and got ambushed and taken for a few hours. Revenge for what my Peggy and Steve done to them years ago, I have no clue how they found me without stalking me"
"Where is your brother?"
"He's with Ed" Brooklyn said
"Where is Ed?" Zara asked
"Smithsonian" Brooklyn said
"I'll go, stay here and keep an eye on her" Zara said and left Tony and went down to the garage and stole Tony's new Tesla because she wanted to be faster and look better.
When she arrived she showed her badge and asked for the microphone for announcements
"This is an announcement : Edward Sousa and Samuel Carter, get your arses to me now! From Z Romanoff..... end of announcement"
"Shit she found us" Edward said to Sam
"Let's go, less issues later" Samuel said and the two arrived at the front desk and see Zara leaning against it
"Z" Ed said as he approached her
"Good, we got an issue but I'll explain on the way back" Z
"Let's go then" Edward said and the three got in Tony's car and Zara drove away
"Brooklyn got attacked" Zara said
"1)thanks for that straight to the point and 2)what the fuck by who!" Samuel yelled
"1) your welcome 2)no clue, she won't speak too much about it" Zara explained
"Is she okay?"
"Well, shes alive. She made it to me and Tony before anyone else so we left the group and shes refusing to explain what shes so caught up in... I wish I could help more but my focus is keeping you two safe incase it's a family targeting, which it sounded like from the little Brooke did say"
"Alright, I'll try get her to talk" Samuel answered
"Thanks Sam" Zara said and they pulled up inside the garage and Zara took them up to the medical room
"Nice place, better than the other" Sam said
"Yeah, it's a small project for a few teams of people that's all" Zara explained and they arrived and she opened the door
"Brooklyn" Sam said and Brooklyn smiled
"Hey Sam" she said
"What the fuck happened!?" Edward said and Zara just shook her head like
'Wtf'
"A group attacked me?" Brooklyn said unsure
"Yeah no shit sherlock" Edward said and Tony just sat there trying not to laugh at that one so Zara slapped his arm
"Ouch" he said
"Oh well" Zara answered with a smirk
"Just pure evil" Tony said and Zara glared at him
"Imsorry" he said very quickly it was one word.
"So you should be" Zara said and her and Tony left for the three to talk about everything.
"You think he will get her to spill?" Tony asked and Zara nodded
"Sam's 2 years older than her he would break her as he knows it's for me. We grew up for 2 years together in Russia, he wouldn't stop for me"
"So you three were close?"
"Were... things went sideways once my mission was complete, I had to leave them alone and didn't hear from them until I got with this band of idiots"
"Wow hurtful Z" Tony said and took his drink
"Yeah not sorry. Honesty hurts" Zara then laughed at her statement and Zariyah and Max came in
"Who's that?" She asked
"A long complication" Zara stated
"Anything we can do?" Max asked
"The second a name comes through with who done it I want you two to track him through the internet then all four of us are gonna catch the son of a bitch" Zara said
"Great. A wild goose chance then" Tony said and Zara gave him another glair
"Stark, we have to stop it! We both promised her father before everything happened! The reason you know of her is because Howard was Peggy's best friend, then you and were born about the same time as Peggs son was and you two were best friends, you met his wife, Annie-May. They had two kids, Brooklyn Margrot Carter and Samuel Anthony Carter. The 4 left and then I met them in Russia, I saw their parents get killed by April and his dying wish was for me to find the two and I did and taught them a few things before I had to leave. There is every reason to fight for them!" Zara yelled at Tony
"I need some air" Tony said shaking and walked outside. Zara sat down and buried her head in her hands and sighed. Zariyah and Max left the room and then Zara got a call
"Hello?"
"Hey Zara, its May. Peter's aunt" She said and Zaras heart dropped
"Hey May, how are you? It's been a year or so" Zara said
"Yeah I'm good, can you come by tomorrow. I have something for you"
"Sure May. Text me a time and I'll come see you" Zara said
"What's wrong though sweetie? I can hear you sound shaken up" May said
"Just a big argument with Tony Stark" Zara said
"I'm sure everything will be okay, you're a smart and brave girl never forget that Zara" May said
"Thank you May" Zara said and she just broke into tears
"I miss him so much May... I can't move on" Zara said
"I do to Zara, I do to..." May said and he voice showed she was fighting tears. The two continued the conversation for a hour and then ended. Zara wiped her tears away to hear
