I chatted casually with my classmate, Sumato Gakusei, during lunch. She let out a laugh as I admitted that I wasn't sure what was going on during class.

"You weren't paying attention at all, were you?" She teased, slapping my arm as she chuckled at my stupidity.

"Well," I began, setting down my peanut butter and jelly sandwich, "When sensei began talking, I thought I already knew what was going on. But when I came out of my daydream I was just lost."

Sumato just giggled some more, "Well, I have a study group after school if you want to join. We meet in class five on this floor after school."

"Sure, thanks," I allowed a small, grateful smile to rise to my face. "I'll probably have to leave a little early since I promised I'd pick up my brother from school."

"How long does his school get out after ours?" Sumato asked. "It can't be that long."

"Only a few minutes I think," I began, "But he has a club meeting after school."

Sumato grinned, before she could reply a new person took a seat beside us after pulling up a chair. I turned to see another classmate, Yaku. "What's this about a study group?" He asked, placing his lunch on the desk in front of us.

Sumato explained where we were meeting to him. He politely said he had a confliction with volleyball practice before joining the conversation. "I didn't know you had a brother," he commented.

"Yeah,"' I answered, "Nikko's a sixth year in elementary school."

"Awww," Sumato placed a hand over her heart, "His name means Sunshine."

"He hates that," I told her, laughing a little at her reaction. "If he were here right now you'd be getting the death glare."

"That doesn't sound much like sunshine," Yaku commented.

I shrugged, "Not off that description. But I'd say he lives up to the name most of the time."

He was sunshine. He brought light to my less than stellar hobby, he was the main reason why I woke up in the morning.

"You're so cheesy," Sumato playfully hit my arm again.

"What's so bad about liking your younger sibling?" I asked, taking a bite out of my food.
