It wasn't always like this

-your POV-

"I guess it's no use to hide the truth now" I said tears rolling down my cheeks.
"Oh honey," dice looked at me with sympathy. "You don't have to-"
"YES I HAVE TO" my voice raised without a thought. Everybody looked at me, but this time it wasn't discussted looks or looks that were filled to the brim with hatred.
"It was a long time ago, but I remember it as if it were yesterday." I collected my thoughts for a second 'this is going to be a tough ride'
"My mom was a pure angel, a rare type of angel with special 'powers'. My mom was so strong she could even resurrect someone if she really desired it.
One day she had to lead a man to heaven. He... Had killed himself. When my mom saw him she was shocked. It was a young man and his soul longed for freedom, but my mom was stupid and hugged his body and resurrected him. She promised the man that she would also resurrect his soul. And so my mom, a pure angel, fel in love with a mortal human male and had me. Because my mom had committed so many sins and broken so many rules, THEY KILLED HER AND DESTROYED MY DADS SOUL... when I was only 6 years old. I was total taboo and they only keept me because I was a pure one. Wich was totally impossible, yet I still was. So they thought I had potential. They trained me to become stronger. Never giving me one break, even though an apprentice angel only starts at the age of 18! EVEN FUCKING PURE ONES STARTED AT 16! I was 6 for gods sake! With no parents, no support, no nothing
Until I met Benjamin (can be sis or bro depending on what you want) Benjamin was the only one that cared for me. And then when things started to turn for the better they send me to here for a 'mission' I was 16 at the time. I'm what? Like 28 right now... Doesn't really matter. I thought I could finally prove myself. After sometime I questioned myself what the mission even was. so I prayed and prayed, but my prayers where never answered and that's when I knew. Those suns of bitches tricked me. Then I met Elder kettle. After that I was alone for awhile so I got curious and we all know the story from there." I  took a shakey breath in and a steady one out. It was silent for a long time until

*Gets hugged*

"Those fuckers! And I thought my punishment was bad" a husky voice broke the silence.
He was hugging me. The Lucifer was hugging me. not a minute later dice joined and then the rest followed.

"I...I" I don't know what to say

"You're part of this family now and we won't ever do something that bad to you or let anyone else hurt you. Got that!" The husky tone ringed in my ear "you don't have to shout in my ear you know" I giggled a little at the end
"Ummm... Guys... I don't know about y'all but I actually like breathing" I said that last part a little ruff.
"Oh!" "Uh" "sorry" "no my bad"
The hug fell apart and everyone backed away, everyone except the devil. He still held on to my shoulders.
"Can i- we see your wings? You don't have to hide them anymore" he said reassuring me.
I just smiled as I let my transformation do it's work.
I got a sea of "oooOOOoooh" 's and "aaaAAAaaah" 's. Some complements here and there. Everyone's expression was a blur. everyone's expression except the one Lucifer gave me. It did something to me. Like his eyes where heating something up inside me. His expression is something I will never forget. It's like an expression you get when you fly for the first time. Something in his eyes sparked and I bet he could see it in my eyes too. Coming here wasn't that bad after all. I thought I'd get a nice adventure, but this? I would've never expected something like this to happen.
"So... What's the plan boss?" I asked.
"Hm? Ugh! *Cough* *cough*"
Right! We should all get back to work."
"AAAAAWWWWW" everyone  synchronised.
"The casino is not gonna open itself up you know?" The devil snarled.
"What do I have to do?" I asked... again.
"You should take it easy. If you need me I'll either be on the main floor of the casino or my office. If you can't find me than you can always try summoning me~" he said that last part with a wink.
"Yeahhhhh right" I laughed with him.
"Good day (y/n)" he said while leaving
"Bye bye Lucifer!" I called out for him
"Ugh" was the only thing that left his mouth in response.
This can be a nice life. With nice people
and a nice love interest
