We have been sitting for about an hour in the living room kind of in silence after crying our eyes out none of knew what to do. I didn't know who was gonna start the conversation so I decided to play another song. This song was a classic when I was young my dad would sing it and I'd sing along with her.

"You're mine and we belong together, yes we belong together for eternity", I sang.

"your mine your lips belong to me", my dad sang.

"yes they belong to only me", my mom took over.

"yes the belong to only me", Solange sang.

"for  eternity", we heard Shawn's voice crack and we laughed, "Sorry I forgot I can't sing go on with the song."

We continued the song it was a pretty short song from the sixties but the simplicity made it so beautiful. I was raised with some of the TexMex sixties and so forth, my parents would play it all the time and when I couldn't sleep they'd play it.

"You still remember that song, it is old not many young ones hear it now", my mom commented.

"Yeah it is practically engrained to my head I love that music, you both showed me it growing up. I remember those nights you'd slow dance in the living room to it and I'd dance with my stuffed animal", I reminisced.

"Those were the good old days we were finishing high school and college, we'd dance the stress away", my dad said.

"Yeah I am surprised that we didn't have more kids", my mom added.

"Ma eww I am child", I covered my ears and they laughed.

"Ya ain't innocent Bey", Shawn whispered to me and I elbowed him.

"What he say", my dad asked.

"She aint that innocent", he said.

"Mhm you ain't a child no more we all know that", Solange said.

"I hate to ruin the mood but I can't just ignore all I have put Beyoncé through, I have to apologize. Can we talk alone?", my mom said acknowledging the elephant in the room.

"Can I play one more song please?", I asked.

"Go ahead", she said.

"I'll be heading out soon Bey so that way you don't have to worry about me, I can call you later", Shawn said.

"Okay but don't forget, I don't wanna wake you up... just stay for this last song", he nodded.

I wanted him to stay and be with me tonight, but I also didn't want him to sit here uncomfortably with all this family drama. We had to talk it out first then he could come by after everything is settled down and we are all fine. Anyways I started strumming the guitar I decided on Stand By Me by Ben E King, it was pretty simple although I wouldn't be able violin I didn't have one.

"When the night has come and the land is dark, everyone sing it you know it", I said.

I really had everyone singing I even helped Shawn to sing a bit better than he did, he was singing it pretty good turning me on just a little bit at the wrong time. The sixties made you fall in love with whatever is in your mind or it was baby making music. After we finished I walked Shawn out to the hallway and said my good byes from. I also snuck out a few kisses in front of the door it wasn't hidden when I came with that big smile, he got me bad.

"Y eso de donde salio esa sonrisa de mensa", my dad teased.

(And that were did that idiot smile come from

"Esta enamorada", Solange yelled.

(She's in love)

My mom didn't look to happy over it but that was off limits, I was engaged it doesn't matter at all. I was still going talk to her I hope she didn't try to govern who I could and could not love, we are barely on speaking terms.
