LANA BINGHAN WAS AWOKEN BY JJ MAYBANK'S WHIMPERS... There wasn't any sign of light coming from her pitch black room— the pair falling asleep without even realizing it. The bedsheets beside her were being pulled by JJ fisting the comforter , sweat dripping down his forhead. Lana sat up quickly , remembering how her dad used to wake her up from her own nightmares. Placing a hand on JJ's cheek , she sat on her knees beside him. Trying her best to be gentle so she wouldn't startle him...
"JJ..." Lana whispered , rubbing comforting circles on his cheek. His eyes were screwed shut as he whimpered , his mouth parted while trying his best to regulate his breathing in his sleep. Frowning , Lana lightly patted his cheeks , cooing him awake. It took a minute but Lana didn't mind. JJ's eyes snapped open with his heart pounding. He swallowed the lump in his throat harshly , looking around frantically. "JJ? Are you alright?"
JJ's cheeks burned red in embarrassment. "Yeah— yeah I'm okay." He stuttered. His eyes fluttered closed as he ran a hand through his hair for comfort. "I'm okay." JJ murmured to himself. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" Lana questioned.
"For falling asleep... and— and waking you up." JJ stammered nervously.
Lana sighed and laid back down. Hesitantly she reached her hand over to JJ's shaky one , curling her fingers around his tightly. "Don't say sorry..." Lana whispered. "I get them too..."
