_Chapter Thirty-One

"What wedding? Marriage?! With who?!" I swore a flash of surprise crossed my face after collecting what he said through my ears. With brimful of force, I boosted half of my body to sit on the hospital bed, "Are you pranking me, right now?"

"No, Zhan Zhan, I am not pranking you. You'll marry your fiancé, Zoey next week. Your grandma, her and your dad already chose your wedding date; it will be on Monday afternoon, next week." Yibo lowered his head and it appeared that the floor was seducing him to study its hidden patterns.

He knew it. I knew too. In the end we won't be together...God, everything about us two is fragmenting to tiny reminiscences that we'll only one day remember at our separate sleepless night and it is all my fault...

THREE MORE DAYS AND I WILL BE MENG ZOEY'S HUSBAND...I DID LOVE HER, ONCE.

"No! I am not going to marry her!" I threw the blanket away from me and redeployed my legs out to the edge of the useless cradle and bursted the door of the room, stripped feet. Rejecting Yibo's voice exclaiming my name, I kept on walking with long strides my legs could take; I engaged all my attention to find my dad, Zoey or my grandmother. I went to one hallway to another and looked for them in any lounges and corners. My breathing cycle developed into a weighty one and my heart's inordinately thumping in its whereabouts that I couldn't hear my own thoughts anymore; my fingers were setting off to a seismic wave. My being was having an earthquake and I am quite clued-up about it.

Noise of footsteps drew closer behind me, "Zhan, where are you even going? Xiao Zhan! Stop, will you?"

This is for you! Don't try stopping me, Wang Yibo! I quickened my pace to the point where I wasn't ambling but jogging now on purpose. Where the hell are they?! I strained my sight to the people whom I came across with to the various section of the sanatorium, striving to distinguish the appearances I pursued to see in any of them.

Where the hell are they?!

Where the hell are they?!

Where the hell are they?!

"Zhan!" Yibo shouted, ceasing me, grabbing me by the shoulder and revolved me around until we were face to face. Nurses and some of the strangers with facemasks glanced at us. We were basically in the middle of a passage near an ER.

Zhan your timing is super lame. Are you sure you are buckled tightly for this? OH MY OH MY!!! I HAVE TO ASK HIM THAT QUESTION!!!

"What? Yibo?!" I spat out, staring at his now pair of brown eyes. "They need to know that I don't like Zoey, I don't love her! I don't! And I don't care if I have bipolar or whatever! There's only one person for me!"

"Zhan..." Yibo encased his arms around my shoulders and I nuzzled my face deeper into the crook of his neck, breathing in the smell of his pristine and minty perfume. My arms hung loosely touching the side of his waist. "Calm down...Listen to me, I am here for you...I am here..."

My stomach tightened as the fervid tears streamed down my cheeks. Something snapped inside me and waves of melancholia emotions washed over. Out of the blue, the air became thicker, and I felt my throat constricting. I bawled; my voice hoarse. Freeing the fatigued I bottled up within me all this time, hurtling unappealingly making me recognized the actuality of what I am really feeling; I am exhausted, tired and sad. No antidepressants can help me at this shape...if it did, maybe for ten seconds and my mind will get the best of me again.

"Wang Yibo, I'm sorry...I'm sorry for being sick...I'm sorry for all the things I've said or do to you...It's not what I want to happen between you and me..."

"Shhh...Zhan, let's talk about it when you are ready, okay?" His hot breath sent shivers to my spine like that moment I first met him in the backstage of the stadium. "I've waited for many years to see you and I can wait more..."

GO ZHAN!! ASK HIM!! ASK HIM!!! GEEZ!!! HERE GOES NOTHING!!!

"Yibo, you will not wait for me again because I, Xiao Zhan will marry you...You are the only one for me. I love you." Three simple sentence and I am proud.

"What did you say?" He unwrapped his arms and contemplated fretfully what he gotten from my mouth. "What? What?"

Who is the choirboy who stuck on one note now?

I placed both of my palms to the either side of his cheeks and pecked his lips before saying, "Wang Yibo, Mr. Superstar of China and Korea, will you marry me?"

Having it out there, out in the open field of reality, it gave me a tad of confidence, hope and happiness...Even at the same level, it terrified and exhilarated my senses. Instantaneously like liquescent fire and a bucket of ice cubes thawing me to marbles of my own errors.

I don't fucking care!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH WANG THE GOD OF BLACKMAILERS YIBO FOR REAL!!! 'I LOVE HIM' THE ONLY TRUTH I RAN FROM EACH TIME I CONVINCE MYSELF I DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO ACQUIRE HIM IN MY LIFE!!! I LOVE THE IDOL WHO ASKED ME FOR A KISS EXCHANGE OF HIS AUTOGRAPH.

Yibo surprisingly chuckled then pinched the bridge of my nose, "Zhan Zhan, can we get you your shoes first? You are not Cinderella you know..."

"I am not that Walt Disney's princess. I am yours..." My lips met with his heavily. He relished me, tasting my heart and soul that manufactured by whoever made me for him...Too old, repetitive and cringy at its finest but as long as I am with Wang Yibo, nothing matters but him.
