Today's Shuichi's last night in the shrine.. As soon as the sun rises hes off to the next town.. I sighed to myself cleaning up the mess of leaves in front of my room. I'm going to miss that troublesome kitsune...

"(Y/n)?" I turned around seeing Saihara behind me. "Is there anything troubling you, Shu..?" He shook his head. "Nothing at all! I've just been thinking.." He trailed off in nervousness. I chuckled. "Nervousness will get you nowhere, Shu." He looked me in the eyes. "Yeah.. I was just wondering if youd like to accompany me to the flower fields.." I raised a brow. "This late?" He nodded. "Ah yeah.." I shrugged placing my broom off to the side and spoke up. "Well then. Let's get going. Shall we?" He offered his hand smiling.

We walked together hands intertwined knowing this might as well be the last day of us being in each others presence. Would I ever see Shuichi after this..? Or will he ascend to the heavens without any regrets? Either way.. its better to keep these feelings unspoken for now. Love is quite troublesome. Taking ourselves farther away from the crowded streets we headed to a nearby hill shrouded in flowers.

"How pretty.." I sat down a nearby oak tree admiring our surroundings. Shuichi sat next to me. "Why'd you take me out here tonight, Shuichi?" He looked up at the fully decorated sky. He reached towards my hand once more. Looking up at the sky he spoke.

"The moon is beautiful tonight, isnt it?"

As he uttered out those words in the lovley moon light. The world seemed to have stopped for just a moment... My heart felt like it had twisted as my throat became tight.

"That's unfair of you.. you know..? To say those words.." He moved closer towards me trying to sit in front of me. His pretty gambouge eyes glistening. "I'm aware.." He closed his eyes shut letting tears flow from his eyes. He cupped my cheeks gingerly placing a kiss on my forehead.

"If we were to be reborn.. I'd hope to meet you in the next life, (Y/n) and fall in love with you once more.."

With those words he picked himself up leaving me there in a flowers... The only company left.
