Betty sat on the couch with her knees up to her chest, sobbing as she watched the episode if the fresh prince of bel air where will gets shot.
"Helloooooo, " Cheryl sang as she ran into the house. "What are you watching? Turn on something fun. No sadness. Let's watch the nanny. I don't think that there is one sad episode in that whole damn series."
Veronica dragged hers and Cheryls bags upstairs and into their separate rooms. She smiled as the nanny intro started playing and she remembered the weekend marathons her, Cheryl and Betty would have.
"Okay, I'm ordering pops. What do you guys want?" Cheryl asked.
"Two burgers and a strawberry milkshake please," Betty said, resting her head on Cheryls shoulder.
"Chocolate milkshake, burger and onion rings, " Veronica called from the other room.
Cheryl ordered the food and changed into her pyjamas. She hugged Betty as they watched tv and Veronica came back out into the living room.
"Okay, all of our clothes are put away and everything is set up. Is the food here yet?"
"No."
Veronica sighed, looking up at the tv. Once the food arrived and they ate, Betty laid down on the couch, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket and stared blankly at the wall. Cheryl and Veronica watched her sadly, not knowing what to do. Two months pass and Betty stays the same, sad during the day and would sleep cuddled up in a fuzzy blanket. Veronica heard a knock at the door and squealed slapping her hands together, waking Betty up. Veronica ran down the stairs and to the front door, throwing it open. A puppy charged in with determination and Jughead leaned in the doorframe.
"Oh look, the paw patrol is here." Cheryl joked, hugging him.
Jughead chuckled, picking up the small puppy.

"Madam, " he said passing the puppy to Betty

"Madam, " he said passing the puppy to Betty.
Still waking up, Betty grabbed the puppy without realizing what it was. The puppy licked her face and she processed the situation.
"Aww, is this your puppy?"
"No, he's yours," Jughead told her.
Betty jumped up, hugging him. "Really?"
Jughead smiled, hugging her back. "Yeah."
"Betty, this is my older brother Jughead. I was telling him about your situation, not what happened but how sad you are and we thought you could use a little buddy."
"That's so sweet."
"Isn't it?" Cheryl squealed.
"Jughead is going to stay with us for a bit," Veronica said.
Betty sat on the couch, petting the puppy. "What are you going to name him?" Cheryl asked.
"Aero."
Jughead sat on the opposite side of the couch, turned to face her. "So, what have you been up to lately?"
"Just sitting around, I work at pops at night."
"Oh, that's really cool, I love pops. I just go during the day though."
"Well, that explains why we haven't met. What about you?"
"I've been writing a book and I work at the register."
"You write in the newspaper?"
"Some articles, Ya."
"That's so cool."
"Does this sound really uncomfortable?" Cheryl whispered to Veronica.
"I can't stop looking."
"You wanna set them up?"
"Oh, definitely."
"Jughead, isn't Betty beautiful?" Cheryl said, hugging Betty from behind.
"Yes, yes she is. Why?" Jughead chuckled lightly.
"Well, I was thinking-"
"No, no. I don't like you...thinking of things." Betty interrupted her.
"Okay, fine," Cheryl said, slumping in a chair nearby.
"Well, I was thinking that you two should get to know each other better," Veronica said. "You have a lot in common."
"Vee, I know what you're doing. Stop it." Betty said, looking over at her.
Veronica shrugged. "Okay, fine. I'm just saying that you have been really lonely, but fine, ignore my advice and opinion just like all of the men I know."
"Veronica..."
"No, no. I get it, I don't matter."
Jughead laughed. "Still using that routine?"
"It always worked on you."
Betty giggled.
"You have a great laugh, " Jughead said, smiling at her.
"So do you."
Cheryl leaned forward on her hands and smiled. Veronica sat in Cheryls chair, pushing her over and stared at them. Betty and Jughead turned and stared back at them uncomfortably.
"Do you want to get out of here? Maybe take Aero for a walk?" Jughead asked.
"I would love that."
Cheryl and Veronica squealed quietly, grabbing each other as Betty and Jughead left.
