"Dad! What is this?" I asked as I show him a folder that has been mixed with my folders

I opened it. It was a contract between the Kim's and us. Their music label and our car dealership will form an alliance, which will only happen if Jennie and I will get married.

IU and Nickhun were also in his office. They were sitting on the couch working on their laptops, but when I straightly walked up to Dad, they also stood beside me to look at what I handed Dad.

"Why do you have this?" Dad asked

"I don't know, dad! And I don't care! I just want to know what this is about!" I told him

Dad gave me a stern look before looking back at his papers.

"Watch your volume, Lalisa," He said while looking at his papers

"What is this anyway?" IU asked and she picked up the folder

Nickhun and her read the papers in the folder and looked at Dad.

"Dad! Don't you think Lisa is too young for this?" Nickhun defended me

"She needs to settle down," Dad replied

"She's 21!" IU said

It is not like I don't like Jennie. She's a great girl. We just made up and I don't want her to get the wrong idea.

"The three of you have no say in this. I am not asking Lisa to give me grandkids! I just need her to be a formal agreement for our merging," Dad said, his volume getting louder

"Merging is done with written contracts, Dad," I whispered

"A marriage contract is a written contract," Dad replied

"Lisa doesn't have to be a means to an end, Dad. We can get other business partners," Nickhun said

Dad stood up and slammed his table which startled the three of us.

"Will you guarantee me that you will find a music label who is as good as the Kim's? Who is as big as the Kim's?!" Dad asked

When he saw that we were startled, he took a deep breath before talking calmly.

"Look. Just for formality's sake, you have to be married to her. I am not requiring you to stop fucking other girls, Lisa. I just need you and her to sign the contract. Just your signature is all I ask of you," Dad said

"I need air," I told them before stepping out of the office and going to the penthouse

I immediately pulled out a bottle of whiskey and served myself a glass.

I love my father, no doubt. I am willing to do anything for him, but am I willing to get married under his will? Do I love him that much?

I am still as free as a bird even though I will be married, right? That's what Dad told me at least. I will help Dad and I will be able to keep my habits. All it takes is my signature.

After calming myself down and making my mind up, I went out of the penthouse and made my way to my office.

"Baby!" I heard IU's voice

I turned to her and saw Jennie Kim walking behind her with a creased forehead.

"Nini, what are you doing here?" I said in a low but cheerful voice to hide my frustration

"You told me you have someone you'd want me to meet, but I guess you forgot about it since you have a guest?" Jennie asked

"Jennie Kim! Ji-eun! Pleased to meet you!" IU said and she offered a handshake, which Jennie just stared at and she smiled at IU
