Chapter 18: ruby arrow

"Atlas can we talk in private?" Caleese asks.
"Yes." I say.
We walk to our balcony.
"What's wrong?" I ask her.
"When we were all together just now when I first woke up , I wanted to drink twenty's blood." She says .
"So we'll keep you away from twenty for a while." I say.
"No I mean Roselyn too , it's like I couldn't control it I wanted their blood I could hear it pumping." She says.
"That's normal you'll learn to control it." I say.
"You don't love me any less because I'm a vampire do you?" She asks.
"I remember you said you loved Alexcia because she was human. Do you hate me?" Caleese says.
"No of course not I love you Caleese." I say kissing her.
"Always?" She asks.
"Till death do us part." I say holding her.
"You'll help me control it?" She asks.
"Yes, I promise it will get easier." I say taking her hand.
We walk back to Roselyn and twenty.
"Roselyn do you think you have anything that could help with Caleese's cravings?" I ask.
Caleese takes one look at Roselyn and her fangs come out.
I push Caleese back.
"I'll see what I can do." Roselyn says walking away with Caleese.
"I'm going to see iris." Twenty says grabbing his sword.
"Alone?" I ask.
"I kind of got burned by a dragon not too long ago think I can handle it." Twenty says.
"Be safe." I say.
"I'll try." Twenty says walking away.
I can't help but worry with everything going on it's overwhelming I've overlooked twenty and Now I have to worry about Caleese.
I feel like twenty and I are drifting. We're not as close as we used to be he doesn't need me anymore. I go and sit in my room and look out the window.
Hours go by.

(Twenty's POV)
I made it past everything easily using my powers .
"Hello iris." I say.
"Twenty?" She says softly in her majestic voice.
"I've been thinking about you." I say.
"Oh twenty , you're too young." She says placing her hand on my face.
"I'm mature for my age." I say.
"I've been having dreams that you and I are destined to be together, just not now." She says smiling.
"Will you come back with us to the castle , we can get to know each other and then when I'm old enough boom we get hitched." I say excited.
"I'm not sure what that means, but if I leave who will guard the truth stone." She says .
"No one, let anyone use it it'll be fine." I say.
"I suppose you're right, but this is all I am needed for. Come back for me when you're older." She says smiling.
"I will love you forever." I say.
She laughs softly.
"Oh twenty I feel you have powers?" She says .
"Yes , fire ones." I say.
"May I see?" She asks.
"Yes." I say showing her my tricks.
"You are amazing twenty , I hope one day I will be able to show you what I can do as well." She says .
"I will come back for you." I say .
"Remember me twenty." She says giving me a kiss on the cheek.
I'm in heaven.
I almost faint that was like a dream.
"We can talk some more if you'd like." I say.
"I would love that." She says.

(Back to Atlas)
"That should help with her cravings." Roselyn says.
"How are you feeling?" I ask Caleese.
"Better and more in control." She says.
I kiss her.
"You know what we should do?" I ask.
"What?" She says.
"Vampire sex." I say.
She laughs.
"What? I've never done it before." I say.
"You've never had sex with another vampire?" She asks.
"Nope." I say.
"Well then let's do it." She says as she uses her new strength to push me on the bed , she's stronger than me right now.
She rips off my clothes.
"Woah there tiger calm down." I say a little scared.
"I'm feeling dangerous." She says crawling on top of me and biting my lip.

(Back to twenty)
"So you've never been anywhere else but here and in this realm?" I ask.
"Yes, when I was a child I was left here and told to do this job." She says smiling.
"One day baby I'm gonna take you many places." I say throwing my arm around her.
"You're so funny." She says softly laughing.
"I've never been with anyone." She says.
"Ever?" I ask.
"No my destiny was to meet you , but you were supposed to be much older." She says laughing.
"Well baby you're my girl and you'll just have to accept this package." I say confidently.
"Were going to be good together." She says.
"sweet cakes I couldn't agree more ." I say cuddling up next to her.

(Back to Atlas)
I can't breathe my face is just in absolute shock. She broke the bed.
I've never been in this much pain in my life.
"We should go again." She says excited.
"Oh no no we should wait." I say nervous laughing.
"Was it as good as before?" She asks.
"Oh ... yeah just different." I say hopping away to get my clothes.
"Ughh Atlas being a vampire is so much fun I feel so strong." She says.
"Yeah I felt it." I say.
"Ow ." I say quietly hopping back to bed.
"Do you still like it with me?" She asks.
"Of course I do I love you , maybe just let me take control next time." I say scared.
"Was I not good enough!" She says all in my face with her fangs out and eyes red.
I look at her scared.
"It was perfect." I say so scared my voice cracks.
"Oh great!" She says  in the sweetest voice possible pulling away.
"I love you so much Atlas." She says.
"I love you too." I say.
I do love her I love all of her I just have to get used to her being a little more dominant for a while. Until some of her strength wears off.
"I'm so awake I feel like I never need to sleep again!" She says.
She falls asleep instantly after saying that.
What a beautiful crazy person she is.
I walk downstairs.
Twenty walks in.
"How'd it go?" I ask.
"Good, I have a girlfriend now." He says.
"But she's too old for you?" I say.
"Yeah she is we're gonna wait. But we're basically together." He says smiling.
"You're a crazy kid I ever tell you that?" I ask.
"Yep just now." He says.
"I have something for us to do if you're interested in going on a quest with me?" I ask.
"What is it?" He asks.
"There's this thing Ive been reading up on called a ruby arrow we may have to do a little fighting but hey?" I say.
"What does it do?" Twenty asks.
"Supposedly only the rightful person can take it out of the stone it was shot in , if you do get it out it's supposed to do whatever you want." I say.
"Like a wish?" Twenty asks.
"Not exactly more like you tell it to kill someone and it does it for you." I say.
"Woah , lets go get it." Twenty says.
We both hop on a horse and ride to another village.
"Up this way." I say pointing to an abandoned village home.
We hop off of the horses.
"Follow me." I say walking inside.
I see two men trying to steal the arrow but neither of their attempts were successful.
"Boys boys lets calm down it's not going to work for you." I say laughing.
They try to pull it out again.
"That pull was nice." I say.
"Don't patronize me!" The man says.
"Boys boys relax." I say.
"You think you can do better?" They say .
"No not me I've tried, him." I say pointing to twenty.
They laugh.
I let a little spark of electricity form in my hand and twenty shows his fire .
They shut up.
"Step aside let me show you how a real man does it." Twenty says cracking his knuckles.
He goes to pull it and it comes out.
"Woah." Twenty says.
"Give me that." The man tries to take it.
" kill them!" Twenty shouts at the arrow.
The arrows goes through both of their heads.
"Now that was awesome." I say.
"Damn straight." Twenty says holding his hand in the air.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Giving you a high-five." He says.
"A What?" I ask.
Twenty looks annoyed.
"Never mind." He says laughing and walking back to the horses.
"No I wanna know." I say chasing after him.
"It's something we do in the other realm ya know our year stuff." Twenty says getting on the horse.
I get on mine.
"That was fun huh?" I ask him.
"It was , I'll race ya back to the castle." He says.
"You're on." I say.
We ride off back to the castle.
