Hey, I'm Madison Aden, looks like you found my journal from when I was a kid. Everything in there helped me become who am today, with the contribution of my best friend Jayden Morgan, who was able to let me see life from a new light.
Hear our backs...
The one where I catch the footballs and the last one with a single hand.
Well, Jayden never lets a bet die. I didn't want to do the thing again, so we compromised. We both win. I did technically catch the ball with one hand. Although I didn't catch ten, so Jay technically also won.
In the mornings before school, I usually go to a morning program. It starts at 7:00 AM, so I leave my house at 6:45 when I ride my bike.
But it was a bit frosty. So in the winter I walk, that takes about half an hour, so I'd leave at 6:30 AM.
This morning it was frosty. I told my mom I was going to walk to my program.
I didn't go straight to school.
I went to Jay's place. Where both our prizes would present themselves.
I didn't know what Jayden wanted before I got there. He told me not to bring anything.
When I got there, he was waiting in the backyard like he said he would. It was dark, and it was cold. But Jay had on his athletic attire and started running suicides when I walked through the door.
It only took him about ten minutes to do all forty.
Then, I finally asked him what he wanted.
What he said was so shocking to me. It was so unexpected.
He wanted me to make him breakfast.
I was actually pretty excited. There were a lot of things that Jayden had in his house that I didn't.
I already knew what I was going to make.
Crêpes.
My specialty.
So Jayden went to get a shower. And I got to work.
Eggs, vanilla, sugar, milk, flour, water, and oil. The only ingredients I needed in that order to make the batter.
I was having a lot of fun. Till Beth scared the living hell out of me, by screaming when she saw me. At that moment, I was flipping a crêpe. Guess what? It ended in the compost.
Jayden forgot to tell Beth I was coming over this morning. She was angry, but I won her over with some breakfast.
I stacked some crêpes on a plate with a light drizzle of maple syrup in between each layer. Beth loves strawberries, so I added some, topping the sack with whipped cream.
When Jayden walked into the kitchen, he gaged. Jayden acts like he is allergic to anything strawberry.
When I got to his plate, it was a bit harder. If the plating wasn't spot on, there would be problems, and I know he wouldn't even touch the plate the food is on. I saved the perfect crêpes from the stack for him and centred them on a rectangular plate.
Jayden also isn't a large fan of sugar so, he took his food plain with a single swirl of whipped cream on top. Sided with five cherries with the stems attached. Five orange slices. A whole carrot. With a tall glass of coconut milk.
This boy had the audacity to tell me I forgot something.
He wasn't wrong... I did forget to eat breakfast.
So, Jayden split everything he had with me. The pain on his face splitting a cherry in half was priceless, but when his mind is set it does not change often. We all finished our breakfast around 7:15 AM.
There was still time for me to get to my before school program. Beth gave me a ride.
I can truly say that was the best breakfast ever.
