Wait and see

Rage boiled in Akira's veins. That was the only way to even begin to describe what she was feeling: hot, boiling, scalding rage. Armin was right, Annie is the traitor. Does this mean she killed Marco?

She could clearly remember the meeting several days prier. She relived it every time she closed her eyes.

Levi let out an annoyed huff as he eyed his tea. "What the hell's takin' so long? At this rate, the Military police's escorts are gonna arrive before them."

His gaze shifted to Akira as he raised the cup to his lips. She was only smoking slightly now, but she still shifted uncomfortably every now and then, reminding both Levi and herself of her injuries.

"Must be havin' a hell of a hard time taking a shit."

Akira burst out into laughter at his response, wincing slightly as she did. Levi hid his smirk by taking another sip of tea.

"You know, Levi, for someone who loves cleaning so much, you sure use dirty language."

Levi raised an eyebrow at her response. "I compensate." This just earned more laughter from the eldest Jaeger.

Eren's gaze shifted between the Captain and his sister. They had gotten a lot closer in the last month. In fact, he could have sworn Akira was flirting except she talked to almost everyone like that. "You're very talkative today, Captain."

"Don't be stupid, I talk plenty." Setting down his cup, he tossed his ankle a slightly pained look.

Eren glanced down, clenching his fists. "I'm sorry. If only I hadn't made the wrong choice then..."

Akira shot him a look. "You couldn't have known."

"She's right you know. I told you, none of us could've known how it would've turned out."

Akira turned her head seconds before the door opened. "Sorry I'm late."

"Not at all."

"We believe we know who the female titan is. This time we'll catch her."

Akira could feel her heart sinking. They hadn't even given her a name yet, and she already knew. It was someone we know.

"Sir, if Eren and I can't lure her in, what do you want us to do? If she transforms, hundreds could be killed."

"I know. Odm gear is practically useless on her. I'm sorry, but it'll be up to you and Eren to try to keep casualties to the bear minimum."

Akira gritted her teeth as she maneuvered through the gap. Her body swung through the air with ease. As she peaked, she bit her hand with only one thought in mind: I'll get you for this Annie. Just you wait and see.
