Tuesday Morning...
"Mommy is daddy coming to my school" London asked
I've been so sad every since Jacquees stop talking to me. I didn't know it hit him that hard.
"Baby daddy haves to go to work." I said pulling up to his school.
Before I could get out the car he got out himself and slammed the door and ran into the school. It's okay because when we get back home imma tear that ass up for slamming my damn door.
I sped off to school. I got put the car and walked inside the school, I clocked in and went into my class. I'm not even in the mood to be dealing with these kids today.
I sat down and watched as they all came into my classroom. When the tardy bell rung everyone was finally here. I closed the door and walked in front of the class.
"Good Morning class" I said dryly
"Damn Ms.Jerry who pissed in your cereal." Jamaar asked
"Shut the fuck up" I mumbled making everyone laugh
Someone knocked on my door.
"Come in" I said
Some kids walked in with some flowers,candy and a big teddy bear saying I'm sorry. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the things. I put the things in my drawer.
"Awe Ms.Jerry what happened between you and ole dude?" A boy on the basketball team said
"Stop be so damn nosey. It's grown folks business" I said mugging him
I heard another knock.
"What can the mother fuckers possibly want!" I said
I opened the door and the principal was here.
"Oh I'm sorry sir-"
"Ayana there's an emergency! Your son was rushed to the hospital" he said
I let everything sink in, then tears rushed down my face.
"No no no no" I mumbled while packing my things.
My hands was shaking and I couldn't control myself.
"Fuck it!" I yelled
I threw everything down and ran out the building without forgetting my purse. My phone start ringing. I answered it without looking
"What!" I screamed
"He's at Mary Catholic Hospital." I heard the principal say
I hung up and sped off to the hospital

I arrived at the hospital, I rushed to the receptionist desk.
"I'm looking for a little boy name London Jerry" I said out of breath
"Ma'am the doctors are currently doing tests over him at the time" she said politely
"Ayana" I heard someone call out .
I turned around and Jacquees was sitting down .
I walked over to him and sat in his lap.
"What's wrong with my baby" I cried
"When I arrived at his school for the son and father thing-"
"You didn't change your mind?" I asked
He smiled and shook his head no.
"Anyways, while we was playing activities, he started getting tired quickly. He kept saying 'Daddy my chest hurts' We sat down and I gave him water, he start to choke on the water. I patted his back to make sure he was okay, then he begin to cough up blood. His eyes start to roll back as if he was going to pass out. I rushed him here and that's when I called your job and told them to let you off so you can come here" Jacquees explained
"Family of London Jerry" the doctor said
Me and Jacquees stood up.
"You two are the parents or guardians?" He asked
"Yes sir can you tell me what's wrong with my son" I said
"Well, as you can see ma'am we ran some test on your son. He's diagnosed with Lung Cancer." He said
"Wh-what? How could this be?" I managed to get out
"Have he been tired lately or coughing a lot? If so that's one of the symptoms. Young man right here informed us that he was coughing up blood, that's another symptom. "
"How I couldn't notice that?" I cried
"Ma'am, he's actually on the 3rd stage. We need to keep him inside the hospital for a week or two to run some test on him. " he said
I nodded my head understanding what he's saying.
"If you want to see him he's in room 108" he said
"Thank you " Jacquees said
We walked down to his room in silence. When I opened the door he was hooked up to a lot of cords and the female nurse was giving him a lollipop.
"Hey mommy" London said sounding hoarse
"Hey baby" I said
"You have a wonderful son" the nurse said walking out of the room.
I sat next to him and grabbed his hand.
"You know mommy loves you right?" I said
"Yes mommy I know" he giggled
I attacked him with kisses .
"Mommy stop!" He giggled
"Okay okay." I said
"Ma'am I'm sorry to ruin your moment but the doctor need him to run a few test on him" the lady said
"Baby boy, I'll be back later on tonight okay?" I said
"Okay mama. I love you mommy and daddy" he said reaching for us.
He grabbed us and around his arms around our necks and kissed us.
"I love you too" me and Jacquees said in unison
"He well be in great hands ma'am" the nurse said
"Thank you--" I looked at her tag
"Nurse Brown" I said
"You welcome--"
"I'm Ayana and this is my fri-"
"Boyfriend Jacquees" he interrupted
"Nice to meet you" she said
I smiled and I gave London one more kiss before leaving.
"This is not supposed to be happening " I said while walking out the hospital
"I want you to meet my family" Jacquees blurted out.
I looked at him.
"I don't want to get assaulted again by your sister" I said approaching my car
"Please baby--"
"I'm still not over the fact that you kicked me out your damn house" I said
"I'm sorry, I just didn't want to talk about what happened to Jacya mom" he said
I sighed
"Okay I'll go, around 4 because I'm coming back up here to spend the night with London" I said
"Okay, four" he agreed
"Bye baby, I love you" He said hugging me
I was a little shocked he told me he loved me .
"I love you too." I said
He pecked my lips twice and helped me into the car.
I started my car and head to my father's house. My mind was everywhere, how the hell I should explain to them that London has Lung Cancer?
