Cynthia held my hand as she lead me out the back of my house to the backyard. A blindfold over my eyes as my hand rested protectively over my swollen stomach

"Cynthia, i swear if you're leading me to my imitate death" i said
"calm down, i wouldn't have you dress up just to kill you" she giggled
"talking about dressing up your blind fold is ruining my eye make up" i said
"well you can take it off" she said

I slowly slid the black cloth off my face, blinking a bit at the adjustment of light

"SURPRISE!" everyone yelled making me jump back
"You guys really wanna kill me" i yelled clutching my chest
"i told you idiots we shouldn't have done that" Larray said coming to my side

Everyone laughed as they came to hug me, i looked around to see the backyard decorated in yellow and green, streamers, table clothes, balloons the works. In the corner there was a 4 tier cake. Everyone wore a yellow or a green pin saying "Team Girl" it "Team Boy"

"Cynthia, this isn't what i think it is is it?" i said looking at my best friend
"You didn't think i'd let you have your baby without a shower and better yet, a reveal" she said sneakily
"now did you-
"your mom" she said simply "y'know she can't resist this charm"

I laughed at her antics before making my way over to mingle with everyone. I grabbed some finger foods before Cynthia called me up on the little stage she'd had set up.

"So this beautiful woman sitting right here is my best friend, you mess with her you mess with me. When she told me she was pregnant, i was shocked not only because she's basically the saint of our friend group but also because i didn't see it coming for a long long time" Cynthia said making everyone laugh a bit "but we adjusted and accepted it. I hope you have a beautiful healthy baby, and you and your baby can prosper in ways that you deserve and you will be one hot momma"
"awww look now you made her cry!" Addison yelled as i sniffed

Cynthia smiled widely before giving me a big hug, I closed my eyes and opened them to see a mop of black hair that i wasn't planning on seeing for a long time

"why didn't you tell me you invited Mattia" i said into Cynthia's hair
" i didn't" she said pulling away to look at him "okay guys, a few minutes until the reveal"

Everyone went back to mingling as the music played in the back. I made my way slowly over to Mattia. In his hands was a big box a picture of a stroller on the front. He set it at his feet when i stood in front of him

"you're bigger than the last time i saw you" he said softly
"which was 5 months ago, so i don't know what you expected Mattia" i said simply rubbing my stomach
"yeah, about that-
"nothing Mattia, look thanks for the gifts and all but you can leave the same way you came" i said turning
"Look Y/N you can't shut me out of my child's life!" Mattia snapped
"and i'm not! i explained to you when i told you i was pregnant that we will co parent! I refuse to let my child feel the disappointment that you've made me feel!" i snapped back "we were best friends Mattia!"

Mattia looked taken back by my outburst, he ran a hand through his hair before his face.

"You didn't give me time to register or explain it at least react when you told me the news, you just assumed that i didn't want the baby and left" he said
"Mattia you expressed it to me very clearly after we slept together that it was a one time thing- and if you really wanted to be in the babies life you could have sent me a message, asked to meet up he'll you know where i live!"
i snapped
"i know, but i sent you gifts-
"is that your way of showing that you care? because if it is then i'd rather my child not know you at all" i said
"uhh guys, the reveal is ready" Addison said softly

I didn't bother waiting for Mattia's response, i turned on my heel and made my way over to the stage where Tony helped me into the white overalls and Mattia helped himself. Cynthia handed us each a water gun

"Okay so inside the water gun is paint, which you will shoot at each other. If it's yellow you're having a girl and green is a boy" Cynthia said "let the wars begin"

They began counting down as Mattia gave me a small smile.

"1" everyone yelled as Mattia and I sprayed paint at each other, i giggled as it splashed all over my face, closing my eyes as Mattia attacked me and i did the same. I heard cheers as i opened my eyes to see Mattia covered in yellow paint

"It's a babygirl!" I screamed as i jumped up and down. Mattia hugged me tightly, i did the same. We pulled away from the hug and Mattia leaned down, capturing my lips in his, i immediately kissed back making everyone scream louder if that was even possible

"I'm never leaving my baby girls again" Mattia whispered softly
