A faint knock on the door brought Shivaay's attention from his files to the door.

Shivaay: come in

Anika opened his room door and took a few steps forward. Her walk was very slow and her feet barely moved an inch with each step.

Shivaay: yes?

Anika: 10 mint mein aapka meeting hai, Mr Patel ke saath

Shivaay: okay, thanks

She turned to go but his voice made her look back.

Shivaay: if you don't mind yeh extra files hai, they need to be ready. I know meine tujhe already itna kaam diya toh it's okay agar nahi ka paougi

Anika: it's okay, mein kar lungi

He handed over the files to her and she returned to her works. Her cautious actions made him worry. Maybe it was the event from last week, at Om and Gauri's engagement. The thing was that he didn't know how he should approach her. Was he to bring up the issue during a conversation with her? That wouldn't be easy since the only encounters they had were exchanging files and her informing him when his next meeting was. But then again, it's not something he can just bring up like that. He looked at his watch and realised there were only 5 minutes to the meeting. This made Shivaay get up from the chair and go to the conference room.
Just a few rooms away from him, Anika was going through the files and making suitable corrections. A call distracted her from her works, but seeing who it was made her attend it straight away.

Anika: Gauri?

She soon became confused when a male voice replied to her.

Om: hey, actually it's Om

Anika: Omkara? Okay, kese chall raha?

Om: ache se. Aap batao, how are you?

Anika: I'm good

She relaxed in her chair a little, sitting back and loosening her muscles.

Om: Shivaay kaha hai? Aapke aas paas?

Anika: No, actually voh sirf kuch mint pehle meeting shuru hua, toh uska phone silent mode per hai. Agar kuch important kaam hai toh mein usko abhi batati

Quick to spring up on her feet, Anika was about to leave her cabin when Om's insistence stopped her.

Om: No Anika, I just wanted to make sure ki voh aapke saath nahi hai

Anika: okay voh nahi hai, aab batao kya hua

She asked whilst taking a seat.

Om: This Friday Shivaay ka birthday hai.

Anika: iss Friday? Matlab in 5 days?

Om: Ji haan, aur hum kuch special plan karne chaate. Toh we kind of need your help.

Anika: of course

Om: aapka office hours katham kab hote?

Anika: agar mein jaldi kaam karti toh I can come in an hour?

Om: that will be great, aap please dhyaan se kaam karo, kohi rush nahi hai

Anika: Nahi Omkara, it's okay. I'll be there soon
