Transformers Prime:
Megatronus was actually really bad with coming up with on the spot lies. Give him an hour or two of planning, and you'll be nodding along as he tells you the sky is red, but he can't think of anything on the spot to save his life. He got better at this in later years.
Orion always found it funny when Megatronus stumbled over an excuse.
