My eyes went open when I felt my stomach grumbled. I was surprised when I noticed that I'm on a bed. Kaagad akong napabangon mula sa pagkakahiga at inalala paano ako nakarating dito.

Mariin kong ipinikit ang aking mata nang maalalang ang huling bagay kong ginawa ay natulog lang ako sa sasakyan ko habang si Xerxes ang nagmamaneho. Does that mean… Oh, God!

Did Xerxes carry me here?

I roamed my eyes around, this is not the room I am staying at. Katulad naman ito ng kwartong ginagamit ni Arlszent pero hindi ito yung kanya. Dito sa silid na kinaroroonan ko, wala iyong mga gamit niya. I suppose this is also one of the vacant rooms here in the mansion.

My vision landed on my small luggage that's placed near the study table. Don't tell me that Xerxes also carried that too? I shook my head and got out from the bed. I walked towards my luggage and grabbed there some clothes when I remembered that my undergarments, bath towel, and toothbrush are in Arlszent's room.

Sa halip na kuhanin ko pa doon at bumalik dito ay napagdesisyunan ko na lang na sa banyo doon na lang ako maligo. Lumabas ako dala-dala ang kinuha kong damit pati na rin ang sarili kong shampoo at sabon bago nagtungo sa kwarto ni Arlszent. Kaharap lang naman pala nitong kwartong ito ang kwarto niya.

Right after taking a bath, I went down the stairs and headed towards the dining room only to see Xerxes eating some orange slices.

"Morning," I managed to greet him.

Nag-angat ito ng tingin sa akin at mahinang tumawa. "It's already afternoon, doll."

"Matagal akong nakatulog?!" gulat kong tanong.

"Yeah," he slightly nodded his head and pointed the food on the dining table. "I know you said one time we texted that you don't eat lunch but since you haven't had breakfast, you should eat up."

"Okay," I pulled the chair and sat on it while he stood up to go to the kitchen counter carrying a small empty plate.

Naglagay naman ako ng kanin at manok sa aking plato. I was about to eat when Xerxes suddenly appeared and placed a small plate of orange slices in front of me.

"T-thanks…" I said, getting a bit weirded by his action and also a bit… happy.

I was about to take a spoonful of rice when he stopped me and talked.

"You should take the fruits first."

"Huh?" maang ko itong tinignan.

"If you'll eat the fruits last, its nutrients might not be properly absorbed by your body," paliwanag niya.

Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili na mahinang mapatawa at ibinaba ang kurbyertos. "Are you sure you're going to be a cardiologist? Because you sound more like a nutritionist."

"I can be both if I want to," he grinned. "But if you won't start eating those orange slices now, I could be your goddamn nanny to feed you."

Pinag-initan ako ng pisngi dahil sa kanyang sinabi at humarap na lamang sa aking kinakain. Kinuha ko ang isang orange slice na nasa platito at inuna iyong kainin gaya ng sinabi niya.

"Don't eat your meal for at least thirty minutes. Let your body absorb the orange's nutrients."

Hindi ko napigilang mapalabi. "I'm already hungry."

"Eat me, then."

"Thirty minutes, got it," bigla kong pagbabago ng isip.

Tumawa ito at tinakpan ang plato kong may laman na pagkain bago ako hinila patayo.
