Izuku was always told that he was a crybaby, and as much as he hated to admit it, in a way, it was true. Yet no matter how terrible a situation he was may have been a tear never slipped from his eyes. Through the years of Bakugo's bullying and being told that he would never amount to anything due to his lack of a quirk, he never had to blink back tears. The only times he cried were when he was overwhelmed with pure joy and positive emotion. It was something his mother had done as well; he vividly remembered her words telling him how crying was a way to clear out any negative emotion in your body to give room for happier feelings.

Izuku had taken these words to heart, so why, why was he crying as he ran through the destroyed streets of the Kamino Ward, ignoring the cries of his classmates and heroes to stop. His feet pounded on the cracked pavement with such force that he could feel the shockwaves through his body. He ignored the shards of glass and sharp rocks that stabbed into him, ripping away the top layers of his skin when he slid down into a large crater that had been formed by All For One and Allmight's punches colliding with a catastrophic force of sheer power. Izukus teeth became clenched harder and harder together as he came closer to where his mentor would be. There was still dust that hung thickly in the air around the center of the crater. The boy waved his hand in a semi-successful attempt to clear the dust.

Izuku felt as if his breath had been stolen from him as he took in sight before him. his knees suddenly felt weak as they buckled under him, causing him to catch himself with his hands that stung slightly as they slammed onto the ground below him. He tried to call Allmight's name, but his voice refused to work. All that he could see was crimson red, a color that he so despised. A shaky hand that held a small amount of hope placed two fingers on the neck of his teacher, his mentor, and even more so his hero.

A broken strangled sob escaped from the boy's mouth as tears blurred his vision in sadness; his hope had been snuffed out; he couldn't feel a pulse.
