Joey

I stared at him in awe. What was he doing here? How did he know my address? I thought to myself. This was the perfect time to gut 'em. But I couldn't.

"Hey. Look-" he started.

"Haha. No, no.. 'look'. Cargo, it's time for you to go. Jada's here. You already left her, no reason to come back now. Go home."

He turned around, and started out for the gate as I was closing the door. Suddenly, he came back, and pushed the door opened hitting me in my face.

I screamed in pain.

I felt my cheek, and felt blood dripping down. There was a nail hanging out on the door. It went straight into my cheek.

Oh, now I was mad.

I got up from the floor, looking at him staring down on me. I stood there for a moment, and tried to look for his weak spot. His stomach. I walked closer to him, standing inches from his face. Then, I gutted in straight in the stomach. He groaned loudly, and fell to the floor. I walked away, trying to find Jada so I could keep her in a safe place so she wont see Cargo. I was walking up the stairs when suddenly, someone yanked me down from my collar. He pushed me to the wall and said "Shut up, and let me talk!" he was now holding me by my neck. Then, I kicked him straight in his pelvis. He let me go, and fell to the floor. That'll keep him down for awhile. I thought. So I ran upstairs to find Jada.

I ran to the guest room, pounding on the door impatiently. She opened it and stared at me. "What happened?" she asked. She motioned me to come in and she closed the door and ran to the bathroom. "Nothing serious." I said. She came back with a cold face towel. She walked over to me, and started to dap my cheek with it. "It looks serious to me. You have a huge hole in your cheek." I chuckled at that. She always knew how to make me laugh.

"We have to go." I told her motioning her to stop.

"Why?" she asked not paying attention to my motions and kept holding the towel on my cheek.

"Because someone's here."

"Who?"

"Nobody you would know." I lied.

"Who? Tell me!"

I sighed. "Cargo."

She jumped up. "He's alive?! Where is he? How is he doing? Is he hurt?" I looked at her. Ugh.

"No-"

"Jada?" Cargo said coming through the door.

"Hey! She said running up to him giving him a bear hug.

This was about to be a long day.

JADA

I was so relieved Cargo was okay. I was worried sick. I haven't spoke to him since the incident at Kathy's office. Speaking of Kathy.. where is she? Shes always with Cargo.

"Um, I think you should go." Joey said standing up dusting off her pants.

I looked at her. Did she know him? Was that her boyfriend? I thought to myself.

"Is.. is Cargo your boyfriend?" I asked.

She choked. "Oh hel- heck no." she said looking at me like I was crazy. I wanted to burst out laughing at her reaction, but I knew it wasn't the time.

"Why?" he said coldy. "You haven't told her yet?" he walked closer to Joey, only a few feet away from her. She looked up like she was about to kill him.

"No, I haven't. Is that a problem? Have you told her yet?" she said returning the coldness.

Well.. this was about to get ugly.

But.. tell me what?

"Tell me what?" I asked eyeing them both.

Cargo motioned Joey to say something. She rolled her eyes, and spoke up.

"Jada, I didn't want to tell you this way.. but we're related. Thats how I found out all of your information. I've been tracking you down for awhile.. I knew about your mother, and... thats why I took you in. You needed to be safe. I'm more than related.. I'm your sister." she said whispering the last part.

I had a sister?! Me.. Jada Marie Brownlee? I've always dreamed of having one!!

I had no reason but to smile. "Well.. at least you're being honest. Thanks for telling me. I knew something was fishy on how you found me. Or even got to me!" I said walking over to give her hug. I extended my arms, and ran into her. Cargo looked at us like we were crazy. Yeah- I was a little mad she didn't tell me at first. But, in 3 seconds, I'll be over it.

See?! I'm fine.

"Cargo, it's your turn." Joey whispered.

Cargo looked at me. And started talking.

"Before I say what I need to say, Jada- and Joey, I would like to say I'm sorry. It was a horrible thing for me to do, I learned from my mistakes, and I hope you guys can forgive me. I was young, and wanted to have no responsiblities. I was at the point where I only cared for myself, and nobody else. And over the years of devoloping.. I realized what I did was wrong. That's why I've been watching over you Jada. When I got married to Kathy, I told her about me giving up on my kids.."

Hold the heck on.

Kids?!

I scoffed at that one. Cargo, my father? Nah.

"Kids? Kids? You were the long lost father I grew up without?!" I yelled. I was mad. Furious. Why didn't he tell me? It would've been fine!

Well- I ain't gon lie. I would've been kind of mad. "Listen Jada, I got scared when I heard your mom's plan, I didn't want to interfere or get caught, so.. I left."

He knew?!

"So, you knew about my mom trying to kill me.?" I asked. He nodded.

"That's why now, I wanted to be involved."

Now, tears were rolling down my face. Cargo was like a dad to me, but it really hurt that.. he left- and he didn't even tell me. I was also mad about how he left Joey too. Now, I bet she despises him.

" You should go now, Cargo." Joey said as she gently rubbed my back. He nodded, told us goodbye and walked out the door.

I was now, sobbing.

"It's okay, we'll get through this." Joey whispered. I was actually glad I had a sister.
