Warning:
This chapter might be a little short. Sorry. But still, I hope you enjoy :). Also, I might be skipping forward more often such as: 3 weeks later, 1 month.. and more.
Joey
It's been 1 month since Cargo confronted me and Jada. He's been in contact, but not that much. Just time to time to check on Jada and update her. One thing that really shocked me was, Kathy, you know.. Cargo's wife. She was found dead in The Programmers office. Apparently, she was accused of hacking into their system, and trying to consider someone programmed. They found that person, and they are now held in captive.
Cargo told Jada the news, and she went crazy. Sometimes I worry about her. She says she has these nightmares at night, and they are always about she being caught and being killed by our mom. That was when I started to worry. I was really worried now because she was sleep.
That's not the only crazy thing that happened in a month. 95% of the people in the community, are gone. The only reason why the other 5% is still alive, is because they aren't programmed, so the Programmers dont have access to their private information.
Now, I had to teach Jada all of the things about the flashdrive, and the chip. It was really important since she was going to be doing the hacking.
Ok, I know what you're about to say. Why the 14 year old?
Because, the fighting and the confronting, would be too intense for her. She's soft.
I don't know where she got that from.
Regardless, I was now downstairs doing more research on the chip and the flashdrive, when I hear a scream from upstairs for help.
Jada.

Jada
It was happening, my worst nightmare was happening. I got caught trying to hack into the Program. I was now sitting in an electric chair with a person infront of me.
Mom.
She had her long brown hair in a short ponytail, with a back vest and back jeans with combat boots. From where I was sitting, I could smell her scent filling the room.
"I've been waiting for this day to come, Jada." she said with a devilish smile. I was now welling up with tears. My mom first sets me up, then she's the one who executes me.
She started going on, on how she didn't want me at first, and she was going to take me at birth. Everything else was a blur.
"You know," she started. "I expected more from you. I expected you to be more mature, and excepting of the choices your mother made. The saying is, 'I put you in this world, and I can take you out.' So, I will. Aren't you suppose to listen to your mother? Do what you have to do? In fact, who put you up to this? Who was stupid enough to think of a plan like this?"
Was my mom really this stupid?
I tried to wipe my tears away, but my arms were tied up to the chair. I looked up at her, and saw her pacing around the room thinking about who really did put me up to this.
"Joey!" "Joey! I knew she was going to find you and help you." she said looking at me her eyes worried.
Ooh, maybe she knows what Joey is capable of..
"How-how is she?" she said wiping away her tears. I was about to answer when she cut me off saying "You know, when she was at the age to understand what happened, and what my plan was, she ran away. She was 14." she said. Wow. She might have really cared about me.
Now, all of those times when I thought negative about Joey, I now regret hating on Joey. I was now screaming her name thinking she would magically appear. That wasn't going to work though. Even though it wasn't my time to go yet, I was still going, and nothing could change that.
Until someone started shaking me.
"Jada? Jada?" Joey called out.
Lawdd! A dream come true!
Thank God for Joey.
That was when I woke up, seeing her hovering over me her face worried. It was a dream!
Just.
A.
Dream.
"I had the worst-" "I know" she said going back into the hall way of her small house. Just to clairfy, when the community was made, they made sure that everyone was programmed to have 2 children. Also, they had a limit on what house they could buy. They had to get it approved. And since Joe didn't have any kids, she had to get the small one. Which was perfectly fine with me. I don't judge by what people have or don't have.
I got up, and smiled to myself as I made my way down the stairs of Joey's house.

I was so relieved Jada was okay. I really couldn't take another second. I was annoyed/worried. I was now downstairs finshing up my research. It was only a few days away from us hacking The Programmers. I had to make it perfect, I had to make it good. It was my destiny to make sure Jada lives a good life, along with having a say so in what happens in her life.
I know what you're thinking. Aren't you like 20 or older? Why didn't you save her back then?
Well my people, this stuff takes planning. I first had to see who Jada was staying with, and if she knew her real identity or if she was programmed. That was a easy one. Then, I had to track her down, because ever since the incident with my Aunt, Carter, my mom has been moving because Carters friends were tracking her down. Of course, they are now.. well- you know.
But, regardless of the other steps I took to get to Jada, I'm just glad she's safe and sound and here with me.
