If you're still here, then great! You're either crazy brave or you're just bored. Enjoy this dumpster fire of a book.

The skies were dark and gloomy. The rain poured from the grey sky as you stepped off the bus and into the school's parking lot. The door shut with a loud clack behind you as you looked over the never ending sea of teenagers. You knew at this moment that your entire life was a lie and you definitely should not have done this. You were supposed to be in eighth grade, but your grades were so good that you were given the opportunity to skip a grade. You gladly took the opportunity to leave your middle school behind, because one year in that hell hole was enough.

You began forward to the crowded door. All around you were worried parents saying goodbye to their children who were and ushering them forward into the wave of teens. Shoving your way through, you made it into the hall and began walking along the wall, hoping to god not to get trampled. The rain pounded outside and it almost reminded you of the City of Tears. It was your favorite place in Hollow Knight, your favorite game of all time. Probably. You couldn't really think of any other game you had hyper focused that much on.

Your mind wandered as you made your way to Mr. Bailey's class, your supposed homeroom. You thought about drawings, when Silksong would release, whether or not high school was a mistake, ETC.

Eventually you found yourself at Room 347, where Mr. Bailey sat at his desk. He was a short, plump man with a mustache and piggy little eyes behind glasses that were too big for his face. 'Oh joy.' You thought unenthusiastically, surveying the classroom. You took a seat in the back left corner of the class and got out your sketch pad. You opened to a blank page and began sketching the outline of Hornet. Slowly, you began to fill in the details. You loved drawing characters from the Hollow Knight universe, and they were easier to doodle once you got the hang of it. Though you did struggle with a few, the fun was there anyway.

You didn't notice a boy sit down right next to you and start watching you draw. You began to draw her needle and start finishing shading when he finally spoke. "What the heck is that thing?" You looked up and saw a boy with red hair and freckles staring over your shoulder.. You hurriedly covered up the drawing. "None of your business."

With that you slipped the book back into your bag and looked around the classroom. you were seated next to a window, giving you a nice look out over the athletic fields. Even through the thick curtain of rain, you could see the beautiful green hills beyond the turf. In a daze, you didn't realize that Mr. Bailey had begun speaking.

The same boy poked you and whispered "Earth to Artist kid, you in there?" You snapped up and looked around at the class. The class was fairly small, and they all looked to be nerds. They were all sitting in the front, which meant there were two rows between you and the rest of the class. The teacher took out some notecards and began to read a prewritten speech out loud to your class. "Good Morning class. Welcome to your first day of high school." Half the class signed all at once and you hid your smile. They must've rehearsed that beforehand.
