So, I Said I Wanted To Drive

So

Recently, my mom got a new car

And she wanted to try to drive to Shane's (Shane is a friend of Nick's) as practice

I kept her calm

And I told her directions

Then

I decided to stay home as Shane taught her the back roads to his house

When they got back, I asked if I could drive

Nick said okay

Mind you, I don't have a license

I'm not even old enough to have a learners permit

Now, I've been in cars a lot

I quite like cars

I'm very comfortable around cars

I'm very comfortable where I can see the road

So

I wanted to know the different controls of a car

Mostly, I just wanted to know the basics

I didn't actually want to drive the car

So

The car was put in reverse

And it started moving

I put my foot on the brake

And it stopped

We only ended up moving a few inches

A foot at the very most

I always ask if I can drive

And the one chance I get

I get scared

But, hey

At least I'm eager
