Eight Months Later: Pattaya Office
The huge lounge area of the posh Suthiluck offices was cramped with employees, cheering and happily shouting. The big TV was showing the bossman, Kongpob Suthiluck's press conference where he was making public the recently signed contract with a Chinese Conglomerate. This was a huge deal as it would make Suthiluck Enterprises the top producer of Smartphones in the country. The deal will also give the company access to major market share in China, which in turn will lead to several more contracts.
Arthit was standing in one corner of the room watching the elation that the rest of the employees were freely displaying. The deal had involved departments from all three offices and it was only natural that the employees were happy that their hard work had paid off. The young man who had been working at the offices for the past seven months was happy as well, of course, why wouldn't he be?
However, there another key reason for his happiness and that was in the previous day's mid-day edition of the Blitz&Glam daily. The paper covered mostly the Newz related to who's who of the society and it's front page was dedicated to the Hollywood venture of one of the top actress in the Thai movie industry. But that was not the concern of Arthit. The said paper had been dropped in his mail yesterday and Arthit had found it when he had reached home after work. Page 5 of the edition had been marked specifically with a blue heart-shaped post-it note. The note just had a hand-drawn smiley on it but Arthit immediately knew what it meant. There at the right corner of Page 5, was a small announcement, so discreet that one would definitely miss it if they were not looking for it:
'Suthiluck Heir Ends 2-Years of Marriage With Ms. Paramsikt'
Arthit smiled as he remembered and happiness bubbled within his chest. He didn't have long to dwell over those thoughts as his assistant approached him. The kind, middle-aged man that Arthit had taken an instant liking to, spoke, "N'Arthit, your tickets are all settled. The flight leaves at 3, that should give you another two-hours before you have to leave.."
"Oh, Thank you P'Toey. That is great." Arthit grinned.
Toey too grinned, his eyes glinting. He had seen enough life to recognize the heart-felt happiness that the nong was displaying at the moment. "You seem really excited to go to Bangkok. I mean, the party is tomorrow, you could have been there by afternoon. I did wonder why you insisted on going tonight... A special someone?"
Arthit's eyes widened as he gaped at the older man. The man only chuckled and patted Arthit on the arm, "Enjoy yourself nong. You have rarely taken any personal time, you deserve this..."
The young man who had now recovered, said, his voice a little too high, "Phii! It's nothing like that..."
The older man only snorted a chuckle and left Arthit alone.
Arthit landed at Bangkok airport, satisfyingly taking in the city. He had not realized he had missed the city so much. He was about to hail a taxi when a black car parked itself in front of him and P'Chati waved from the rolled-down window.
"Phii! I didn't know you would be here," Arthit said even as he lifted his bag and put it in the back seat. To utter exasperation of the older man, Arthit opened the passenger side door and seated himself.
P'Chati chuckled, "How did you even expect me to not pick you up? Young master would have had my head otherwise. Also, young Sir, you shouldn't be sitting here, you should sit at the back as is appropriate.."
Arthit only huffed, "Phii, please, you know I have always preferred to sit beside you. And, how many times should I tell you, call me N'Arthit. I am no boss of yours, I don't deserve the 'Young Sir' ..."
The older man only shook his head. He had taken a liking to this young man. Arthit was smart and hard working but most importantly he was kind and down to earth. He never judged or looked down on people and that had impressed Chati immensely. Now, the security chief understood why his young master was so enamoured with Arthit.
P'Chati sighed, "Believe me when I say, you are the only one deserving of that title, my young Sir."
They had been driving for nearly an hour now and Arthit realised the route was not what he had expected. Kongpob had messaged him saying he would be meeting Arthit at home but it looked like they were not heading to the mansion.
"Phii, do we have to run some errands? It's just Kongpob is waiting for me at home but this route..."
"Of course, young Sir, we are heading home... young master's and your home.."
Arthit frowned but when he questioned further Chati did not give any answers. The younger man hence gave up and decided to relax.it was another thirty minutes or so when Chati stopped the car, startling Arthit who was nodding off. Looking around he was surprised to see they were at his apartment, the tiny apartment that he and Kongpob had spent countless hours in.
Chati got down took the luggage out as Arthit stepped out. The older man handed Arthit the bag and pointed at the familiar apartment building, "Go, he is waiting for you. Must already be going crazy if the number of texts he sent me in the past half hour are anything to go by..Take care, young Sir." Arthit only stood there stunned as he watched Chati drive away.
Arthit reached his floor and was about to knock on the door when suddenly the door opened to reveal Kongpob Suthiluck. Arthit's gazed at the his lover as his entire body relaxed, feeling once again complete. The bag in his hand dropped to the floor as Kongpob rushed forward and embraced his Phii tightly. He pulled Arthit closer and closer, both sighing in satisfaction at the feeling of being in each other's arms once again.
