Y/n's POV

For a moment, he didn't move nor talk, just stayed facing the wall.

"Is there another way to get out? Besides the front entrance?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"...there's a labyrinth. If we find our way through it, we can get out." He said.

Though he was facing me, he wasn't looking at me. He avoided eye contact, looking off to the side. I couldn't blame him; I pulled a really bitch move.

I'd just rather not do things like that in a catacomb. I'm sorry, Gregory. I'll make it up to you, I swear. I thought to myself.

"Then how bout we get out of here?" I grinned at him. A smile formed on his lips as he nodded his head, standing up straighter.

"Alright then. On one condition." His smile turned into a sly grin as he took a few steps closer to me.

"What?" I asked, my eyebrows knitting together. He extended his hand to me.

"We fly."

I stood there a moment٫ dumbfounded.

"F...fly?" I asked, gulping.

"What?" He asked, smirking. "Are you afraid of flying but not vampires?" He crossed his arms, chuckling.

"N-no! Of course not." I bluffed, slightly embarrassed of my fear.

"Liar." He said, hovering above the ground. I took a step backwards, my eyes widened. "Come on." He held his hand out to me.

I bit my lip, hesitantly putting my hand in his. My feet lifted off the ground as I did. I gasped loudly, visibly distressed. Jerking him closer to me, I wrapped my other arm around his neck for security.

"Ah...! Sorry-!" I let go of him completely and began falling. He quickly caught me.

"Shall I just carry you?" He asked. I hesitated.

"...sure." I finally said, looking away.

~~~~~~~~~~
This is so embarrassing. I could feel the redness on my face. Gregory was carrying me bridal style, my arms wrapped around his neck.
"Go left up here." I said, looking ahead of us. I was directing us out the catacomb because I had good directional instincts.
Most times.
We had been flying around over half an hour because I somehow led us back to the main room several times. Then again, it is a labyrinth.
"Hey, what's that?" I asked, pointing upwards. There was a giant crevice in the ceiling. I could see the night sky. "I think that's it! The exit!" I looked at Gregory, grinning.
He was looking down at me and smirking. I quickly looked away.
He flew out the crevice. We were now outside, surrounded by the night sky and fresh air. Gregory put me on the ground and hovered next to me.
"Fresh air~!" I grinned٫ taking in a deep breath. The air was scented like trees.
Maybe because we were in a forest.
Still٫ it was a pleasant scent.
"What now?" He asked me. I stretched, yawning.
"There's a town with a motel nearby. I have some money. If we fly, we can make it there in no time." I turned to him grinning. His face lit up as he plopped his feet on the ground.
"Want to fly?" He asked enthusiastically . I nodded my head.
"Sure. I doubt you'll drop me." I teased.
