Demons

The next day while Steven sat on the couch, Amethyst sprung down the stairs. "Hey Stev-O! Get ready, we're goin on a field trip."

Steven sat up confused. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see." Amethyst smirked and Steven just followed along. Once he was ready, she came to him holding two sticks with a bag at the end of each. "You'll need this."

"Are we running away?" Steven grew concerned 

"It's just temporary but yeah. We're going back on the run!" She led him outside as they hiked out of the city

An hour later, they made it to the train tracks. Amethyst pulled out a whip and pulled Steven in closer. "Hang on!" She wrapped the whip around a nearby pole and swung inside the train. Steven screamed the whole time then landed on his face. Amethyst helped him back up. "Sorry dude." They each sat at the edge of the train 

Steven looked out into the distance and was in awe at the breathtaking view. "Wow. This is beautiful."

"This is just the beginning my man."

A few more hours passed and they arrived at their destination. The Prime Kindergarten. As they were walking, Steven was left speechless. ''What the hell is this place?"

"This is where gems were made before the gem war." Amethyst led him to her hole in the Kindergarten. Steven suddenly started feeling a bit uncomfortable 

As soon as he saw her hole, it all clicked for him "gasps Wait a minute. I-I-I remember this place now. The injectors. You and Pearl had a fight. I came here with Peridot." He began panting and his vision wouldn't focus

Amethyst tried calming him down. "Steven, it's okay. Maybe we should head back home. There's a warp pad up there we can take."

He didn't pay attention to anything she was saying. He even looked a little pale and slightly sick. "I-I f-feel like I-I'm gonna p-pass out." He was feeling light headed

"Steven look at me. I know it's a lot right now but focus only on me. Listen to my voice. It's gonna be okay." Amethyst did everything she could but it was too late

Steven gave out and fainted, landing on his back. Amethyst heaved a heavy sigh. "Let's go back man." She picked him up, cradling him, and warped back home

When they arrived, Pearl immediately started yelling. "Amethyst! What happened to him?!" Amethyst walked over and placed him on the couch

She then turned around and answered Pearl. "I thought it would help if I took him to the Kindergarten. But he just had a worse reaction than last time." Amethyst hung her head down in shame

Meanwhile, Pearl was pacing back and forth while playing with her hair. "How could this happen?! Amethyst, we had an arrangement! We just gave him back some traumatic memories! How much did you tell him?"

"All I said was it was a place where gems were made! But now I think he remembers when Peridot showed him the Cluster and that fight we had a long time ago."

Pearl stood still for a minute to think. Then it hit her. "Okay, I'll keep him distracted. Hopefully he won't remember when he comes to."

Not long after, Steven started waking up. Pearl stood by his side to make sure he was okay. He groaned as he tried to open his eyes. Eventually his vision cleared. "Pearl? What happened?"

"Don't worry Steven. You're safe now." Steven sat up while holding his head. "Why don't we take a break and bond a little."

"Alright." Steven smiled at her and she gave him a hug
