NIALL: “Hello everybody! We’re One Direction and this is our Google Livestream and we haven’t done a livestream in a while so we wanted to, uh, do one for you as the album is about to come out and, erm, get some of your questions. Um, everybody okay today? Everybody havin’ a good time?"
ALL: “Yeah.”(replying at the same time)
LIAM: “Feeling well, Niall, yourself?”
LOUIS: “Lovely, Niall. How are you?”
HARRY: “Is it, is it working?”
NIALL: (laughs) “Yeah, it’s working, yeah.”
LIAM: “Google back on.”
NIALL: “Um, it was probably with Google that’s why it took a little bit long, you cannot ... there’s so many of you guys that ... you kinda broke the system. Anyway, to help us with our questions today is a man who’s a very, very good friend of ours. Um, he directed a lot of our videos, he’s the producer of our movie and the director of our new San Siro DVD and he’s also the executive producer of The X-Factor this year. His name is Ben Winston, everybody!”
(All boys clap, the whole crew cheers for BEN)
BEN: “That’s a hell of a welcome, thanks, Nialler, and most of it was right.” (NIALL laughs) “Um, we’ve got loads of questions that are coming from the fans so, I’m gonna get straight to it because we’re gonna have a half-hour, so I’m going to ask now, are you lads, ready?”
ALL: “Yeah.”
BEN: “Okay, so let’s start with the questions that come in, and it’s been four years now that you’ve been in the band which is why the album’s called Four, right?”
(ALL boys agree, BEN proceeds with his question.)
BEN: “So, um, what’s the difference between now and when it first started? Let’s start with you, Niall. What’s the comparison between then and now?”
NIALL: (pauses) “Uh, I don’t know, I guess the scale of everything is a lot bigger when it first started.”
LIAM: “And we used to do this stuff.”
NIALL: “Yeah, we used to do this, video thing, back in The X-Factor days, and we were talking about this recently and we kinda missed it, so, I’m really glad to be able to do this again for our fans to watch us how far we’ve come. How they’d look at us, and say, hey, they changed so much and that’s something that is, you know, very interesting to see.”
BEN: “So everything sort of became much bigger for you, in every thing that you do?”
NIALL: “Yeah. Everything has changed since then. We missed those days. Those were good times.”
LOUIS: “Back when I sang in that horrible audition.” (ALL laugh, LOUIS sneers)
HARRY: “I think it’s not that bad, Lou.” (NIALL, ZAYN and LIAM agree)
LOUIS: (smiles at HARRY) “You’re the only one who believes in me, Harry, thank you.” (reaches to hold his hand, HARRY squeezes back).
