"Occhiolism"

May you not let your pride build a wall,
Be aware how your perspective is small,
How you can't draw conclusions at all,
With that senseless ego you try to stall,

Unrepeatable anecdote with sample size of one,
May end up being controlled by someone,
For a much wilder cause of happening,
In an experiment room called thinking,

Although your life may not be epic,
Don't try to hide yourself in an attic,
May complaints of life ceased to moan,
For you're not prideful when you're alone,

You try to shrink the world in your opinion,
Not knowing there is more to life than rejection,
There is more to life than just negativity,
It may be painful but reality has beauty,

To refuse the temptation of pessimism,
Will reveal the truth of occhiolism,
Do not fight so you can survive and live,
To be truly alive is to know how to forgive.
