Suddenly, the bowl of fortune cookies started to shake, and everyone stopped talking to look at them

One of the fortune cookies flew out of the bowl, causing everyone to take a small step back

The cookie cracked and a big, very weird looking bug came out, growing a tiny baby head on the way and letting out a loud cry

"What the fuck is that!" Lydia shouted, stepping further back

The animal started to quickly crawl across the table, closer to Mike as he jumped off his seat and stood back

"Shit." Richie spoke as another one cracked open, this time an eyeball with octopus like legs coming out

"Hey! Hey! Our fortune cookies looking at me!" Richie shouted, stepping further away from the table and pushing Lydia behind him

Lydia let out a small cry, she really, really didn't want to cry, but with the message that she had just received from the fortune cookies, she wasn't really hoping to see a moving eyeball with weird legs crawling across the table.

Richie glanced back at her but looked back at the table when another fortune cookie began to crack open, a single bat wing coming out of it

"I- I don't wanna be here. I can't fucking do this. I don't wanna be here. Holy shit!" Eddie rambled from across the table

The eyeball started making its way across the table, closer and closer to Rich and Lydia, causing Richie to step even further back, practically squishing Lydia into the wall

The bat wing seemed to have its head stuck in the fortune cookie and started flying around aimlessly, making its way over to Eddie and Ben who began waving their arms around like mad

"Eddie!" Rich called as he put an arm over Lydia who had hid her face slightly with her arms

She honestly didn't want to see what was happening. She'd hoped that if she just pretended nothing was happening, it would all go away.. IT would leave them alone.. but clearly that wasn't working

A black liquid started sizzling up from the bowl the remainder of the fortune cookies had sat in and began to overflow, spreading over the table. It almost seemed like lava, burning everything it touched

"It's okay. They're okay. We're okay" Lydia began mumbling to herself, closing her eyes and trying to imaging Connor and Mia, sitting at the babysitters house, safe and asleep

But, once mike started yelling "it's not real!" followed by a loud bang, Lydia flinched and opened her eyes to see what was happening
