Once Lydia finally finished talking to Rich, convincing him to not come down to the house she finally went back into the house, letting out a long sigh and closing the door quietly

"I'm guessing he still hates me huh?" Stanley spoke, Lydia jumped slightly and turned around towards the living room

Stanley was stood in the middle of the room, avoiding eye contact with Lydia and putting blankets and pillows down on the couch so it was comfortable enough for someone to sleep on

"I wouldn't say hate.." Lydia mumbled as she leaned against the door and watched what he was doing

Stanley let out a dry laugh "so he just strongly dislikes me?"

"maybe... but what happened wasn't exactly something to be happy about, so I don't really blame him..." she answered, looking down at her hands and playing with her fingers, a nervous habit she had picked up growing up

Stanley looked up at Lydia sadly "do you hate me too? ....or, 'strongly dislike' me?" he asked

but instead of getting an answer, Lydia sighed and walked over to the couch "I can sleep here tonight, then I can drop Mia and Connor off at Maggie's tomorrow, then I'll be going back to Derry... Mike needs all of us there..."

Stanley put his arm out in front of her "whoa, wait, no, I was making this to sleep in myself.. you can have the room beside Connor and Mia's, it will probably help you worry less being so close to them anyway..."

Lydia wished she could deny how well he knew what she would have preferred, but he was right "okay, fine..."

"I didn't get to ask but... uh... how are you? After- everything that happened...?" Stan hesitantly asked, going back to avoiding eye contact with her and fixing up the couch again

Lydia stood for a minute, lots of things rushing through her head, little moments of everything that had happened

"Lydia, I'm sorry... I cant do this anymore... Connor is starting to realise things are different, I cant keep lying..." Stan spoke to her, his voice shaky as he tried not to cry

"Rich, he was everything to me, I know I have been a mess these past few months but I was trying! I was really trying to get better! What happened- it just- I don't know, it was messing with my head!" Lydia shouted over her tears as she sat with her back against a wall and Richie wrapped his arms around her

"a divorce...? Stan, I know what happened hurt us both.. a lot.. but I don't think a divorce is going to help us get over that..." Lydia spoke to Stan
