The door opens and candles light up the room.
Me: Morning, you two.
Minho and I sit up and stare at the cake hungrily.
Minho: What a cake...
I hit him laughing.
Katie: Wow.
She sits down next to us on the bed and pets my shoulder.
Katie: I can't believe you're already adults.
I exchange a quick smile with my brother.
Me: Yeah, me neither.
She places a kiss on each of our foreheads.
Jake: And you're just as adorable.
He puts the cake aside.
Katie: That's right.
Katie gets up again and gives Jake a kiss.
Katie: We're very proud of you.
Jake: Yes we are. And now blow out them candles before they start dripping down on that incredible cake!
We blow them out and the four of us head downstairs so we can finally eat this cake.
After such a sweet breakfast, Minho and I usually have to digest for a while. We sit down on the couch pulling out our phones.
Me: Oh God, there we go...
Minho: Thousands of birthday wishes.
