Police officer: We understand, we've been talking to our colleagues from the emergency center already. But we're warning you and you'll have to pay because you crossed the speed limit.
Me: Of course.
Minho: Sure.
We're at the police's office. Katie and Jake have come with us in case the cops tried to fool us.
Police officer: Good. Since this is clarified you're allowed to leave.
Katie: Thank you very much, Sir.
She exchanges a handshake with the officer.
Police officer: Only doing my job, Mrs. Have a good time.
Jake: Goodbye, Sir.
They nod at each other then leave followed by Minho and I who just wave at the amazingly nice cop which has just saved our lives.
Katie: You lucky devils.
We chuckle at her as we get in the car.
Jake: Don't feel bad, yeah? You did nothing wrong.
Me: Yeah.
I send him an appreciating smile.
Jake: Shall we drop you off at the hospital? You wanna check on him?
His eyes wear a pitying expression. I gaze at Minho, he nods into my direction with his eyes closed.
Jake: Okay.
Katie: We can pick you up again if you'd like.
She starts the car.
Katie: And you can call us anytime, right? We're also worried...
Jake giggles at the way she's stressed out.
Jake: It's alright, honey. They know what they're doing.
He places a kiss on her hand and she agrees silently. A smile forms across my lips. How beautiful. They love each other so much. Everything about their relationship is perfect. As if there was nothing able to separate them.
Minho: What's that face?
Me: Huh?
I rush my head into his direction with wide eyes.
Me: Ugh.
Quickly looking out the window I try to avoid talking to him.
Minho: Ugh? What were you thinking about, huh? About him?
I blush not turning back to him.
Me: Of course not. Who do you mean even?
