——– ┊⁀➷ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐓 stealthily treading across the tenebrous hallway tapped against the floor, just like the rasping of the harsh rain droplets in the high and low of the building. Hearkening the blaring thunderstorm that did not show any hint of halting anytime soon, a decisive girl continued to cast around for their classroom under the dimmed place.

But of course, she was mindful of what she was precisely doing: sneaking inside their school at a bewitching hour for a book. Just for a damn book.

She was too stubborn to listen to her friend's berates against this, apprising to her how much of a grave her decision was. Nonetheless, she was still imperturbed, refusing to believe the chances of a particular being to appearing before her.

The witting girl soon found the door of their class; she slid this open, and oddly enough, it was, unlocked. She didn't mind this; in fact, was even grateful for it.

But no matter how heedful she was, her knee, unluckily, hit a sharp edge. She hissed at the pain building up, and hastily looked for her seat next to the unveiled windows, praying that no one catches her.

"Found it!"

She found the book with a few sticky notes visible around the edge after rummaging through the hefty textbooks under the desk. After carefully placing this inside her bag, she heaved a deep sigh of ease.

sniff

Before she knew it, two arms barred her from behind. A crisp breath fanned the frail spot of her neck, which sent chills of scares down her spine. With all her might, she swiveled around, only to see a tall, dark figure. A glaring fulminate of lightning illuminated the room, giving her a glimpse of what was standing before her.

A pair of deep cerise eyes flared at the sight of her, and she immediately knew what it was.

"G-Get off of me!"

Her trembling arms pushed the figure away, inducing it to step back from her. When it didn't show any signs of coming any closer, she took this as a chance to leave the room that was growing in frigidness.

Trying to recall her way out of the school building, but the fervent eyes that replayed in her mind were engraved ever since that night.
