Chapter 7 Training

You never went to sleep so when you heard Steve come back from his run you decided to leave your room and head to the kitchen. Steve was in a chair drinking coffee when you walked in. "Good morning." You simply waved at him and went into the kitchen. You grabbed eggs, bacon, and other various breakfast items and started cooking. The others one by one woke up and made their coffee.

They sat down and ate the breakfast that you made. You received multiple compliments about it. After breakfast you went to the elevator and went to Tony's lab. You entered and started to look around for your mask. "I remember giving you permission for you to be in here." Tony was at the doorway looking at you. You moved your hands and Jarvis translated. "They asked where their mask is, sir." "It's not here. I sent it in." ".....Where?" "Shield. Are you a mute?" "...Yes." "Were you born like that?" You shrugged. Sighing Tony walks over to a table and grabs something of it and throws it to you.

You grab it and saw that it was a band.

 "It should allow you talk as well as function as a watch." This when you tried to talk noise came out. It wasn't your actual voice, but it was good enough. "Thank you." "It's fine. Now I can actually understand you now."

You leave and get in the elevator. "Jarvis, wheres Maximoff's location?" "She's currently on the 68th floor." You press the button and make your way there.

You get out and see Wanda. When she see's you she goes to meet you. "Jarvis said you were wondering where I was." "When do you want to train?" She was a little surprised that your voice was different than before."Uhh....I'm good anytime. We could start now." "Ok." You both headed to the elevator and you went to the training room.

"So what do you need help with?" "Control." You thought for a minute until you told her to stay there and left. After a couple of minutes you returned with a bucket full of various things. You pulled a bag of red solo cups out of the bucket. "What are those for?" You open the bag and dump the cups out on the floor. You pick one up and hold it out. "Stop these with your powers. When you do keep your hold on them" "What?"

She then got hit with a solo cup. You lifted the many solo cups off the floor and you started throwing sup after cup. After getting hit with a couple of cups she got the idea and started catching them. You increased the speed and when a cup met the floor you brought it back to you to fire again. When she had all the cups you pulled another thing out of the box. This time it was beanbags. "I'll be throwing these at you. Make a pyramid with the cups." She was able to get one started when a beanbag made them fall down.

She looked up to see an expectant expression on your face. She tried again and got the same result. Annoyed she started to build faster. This time she got a bit farther and had at least some remains left. This went on for a while until she got too frustrated. "Isn't there another way to do this?" "Yes, but it's not as pleasant." Huffing she turned away from you. "You just need to think outside the box."

Sighing she thought for a bit and started. This time she placed multiple cups in a square shape on the floor. She started to stack the cups quicker so you sent more beanbags. One of them instead of going for the cups it went for her. On instinct she moved a cup to take the hit for her. A soft thud was heard as the bean bag landed in the cup. She knew what to do after that and you knew that she knew.

You made the beanbags go in more complex trajectories, making her focus on the cups and you. When a cup caught a bean bag she moved it off to the side. Pretty soon you ran out of beanbags. When she was left with just beanbag filled cups she dumped them out and completed her pyramid. "We're done for today." She was surprised at that. Thought it was going to be a little longer than that. "Really?" You nodded. "You wanna knock it down?" You gestured to her pyramid.

She made the beanbags on the floor fly into her pyramid. The sound of cups hitting the floor rang through the room. "That felt satisfying." Ah. Satisfying; giving fulfillment or the pleasure associated with something. Something that you never felt. Actually, ever since you woke up from your extended sleep you haven't felt anything. You flicked your wrist and the cups made two even stacks. The beanbags went back into their bag. You picked up the box and walked towards the exit with Wanda beside you.

"...So how did you train?" Since you said that you remembered your training sessions she wanted to know what you went through. "Knives and bullets got thrown at me. I only had small pieces of wood to defend myself." "Oh." She should've expected something like that from hydra. "So what are we doing next time?" You arrived at the elevator and opened it. You pressed the 56th floor button. You thought for a bit on what you were going to do for next time.

"Glass and liquids." You told her, but didn't go into any further detail. You arrived at your floor and walked to your room. ou opened the door and went to go set the box of stuff on your bed. Out of the silence Wanda spoke up "So how are you liking it so far?" "It's nice." Wanda wanted to get to know you better and it was kind of hard for her to do that with you being so blunt. So she thought of something to do together. "Wanna play Mario Kart?" "What's that?" When you asked that she lit up. She grabbed your wrist and started to drag you out of your room. "You are going to love it. Jarvis tell everyone that-oh what should your name be for now?" You thought a little and came up with a name. "E.X.T." "That I'm introducing Ext to Mario Kart." "Yes, sir."

When you guys got to the elevator she let go of your wrist and pressed a floor button. When you arrived at your floor she lead you to a huge theater room.

 She picked up a remote and turned on the Tv. She then took out a Nintendo switch out of no where and plugged it in. You watched her get two little remotes and hand a red one to you. She gestured for you to sit down beside her. She selected the game and told you the controls and how to play it. The first several rounds she won after that you started to get the hang of it.

The other's came in the room and watched you two play. Pretty soon it turned into a tournament, even Tony joined. At the end of the day you ended up winning. It was dark out so you decided to go back to your room, the others said goodnight.

"So anything on them?" Fury called in to see if they learned anything about you yet. "They remember some training sessions and that's about it." Nat told. "What about you Wanda?" Said girl sighed. "No still can't get into their mind. It's like they have a built in barrier. I don't think they're even aware of that. They did say to call them E.X.T. though."

"We'll look into that. Enjoy the rest of your evening." With that he hung up.
