Tangled the series: Rapunzel's sister (reader insert)

Before Ever After part 3

Somewhere in the castle, Cassandra was leading Rapunzel and (Y/n) to a dark room. Inside the room, Cassandra reaveals a secret passage behind a tapestry. Rapunzel gasps."Is that a secret passage?" Rapunzel throws the tapestry over Cassandra's head and kneels by the passage entrance. (Y/n) follows behind her. Cassandra taking off the tapestry. "It was before you announced it to the whole cast..." When Cassandra took it off, Rapunzel and (Y/n) were gone. "Rapunzel? (Y/n)?"

Outside the castle, they were able to make it out from the secret passage in town. "That was so fun!" Rapunzel said excitedly. "Remember, sis. We're suppose to be sneaky and quiet." (Y/n) followed her big sister out. "(Y/n), I think you'll discover that I can be pretty sneaky when I need to." Rapuznel said. Before she could walk off, Cassandra tackles her out of the frame as a patrol walks by.

"Nightly patrols. We can get by them if we time it right." Cassandra explains.

"Wait, how did you know they were coming?" Rapunzel asked.

"I have eyes in the sky." Cassandra extends her arm and from the night sky, a small owl rested on her arm.

"That is amazing. You have your own owl. What's his name?" Rapuznel asked.

"Owl." Cassandra simply answered. (Y/n) goes over to Owl and stroke his head. "Hey, Owl. Its been a while, Buddy." Cassandra lets Owl fly back and clicks her tongue. Suddenly Maximus and Fidella appear from behind boxes.

"Max!" (Y/n) runs over to hug Maximus.

"Yeah, when he heard I was sneaking you both out of here he insisted he come along. And between you and me, I think he's got something for you know who." Cassandra told them. Maximus looked embarrassed about Cassandra telling the princesses about his crush on Fidella. "Hmm, it'll be our secret." Rapzunel told him as he smiled.

Cassandra shoots an arrow attached to a cord to the other side of the river. She then pulls a small boat carrying the five of them to the other side. Cassandra paddles their boat to the other side. As they made it to shore, Rapuznel was the first to step out as she begins to sing.

Rapunzel: Seems like we've spent our whole life hoping
Dreaming of things we've never tried
Tangled in knots, just waiting for our time to shine
What if the doors began to open?
What if the knots became untied?
What if one day nothing stood in our way
And the world was our's?
Would it feel this fine?

Rapunzel helps (Y/n) out of the boat. Maximus goes up to the sisters and they give him a hug. Everyone continues their journey by walking down a path. (Y/n) and Rapunzel stopped as they began to feel the cool wind kissed their skin. Feeling more confident, everyone got on Maximus and Fidella as they rode off.

Both: 'Cause we got the wind in our hair
And a gleam in our eyes
On an endless horizon
We got a smile on our faces and we're walking on air
And everything life ought to be
It's all gonna happen to us out there
And well find it, we swear
With the wind in our hair

(Y/n) and Rapunzel began to sing together in the wild. (Y/n) and Rapunzel were locking their arms together as they walked in a lake. They looked closer and saw many fish in the lake. Getting out of the lake, the ran towards the waterfall to see the gorgeous view of the water.

(Y/n): So many roads we've yet to travel
So many friends we've haven't met
So many new adventures just around the bend
Plenty of mysteries to unravel
Tons of mistakes to not regret
So much to see, and to do, and to be
A whole life to spend
And it doesn't end
