Mimori (radio): I can't believe they were harnessing it. We've analyzed the schematic layout of the area. There are security levels you have to penetrate, the defenses here are tough to pass by.

Mimori shows Daniel the figure of each research facility defense grid.

Mimori (radio): The first one is the main gate control tower. The main gate is revealed to be blastproof, even an explosive charge can't break it. It's going to take a lot of thermite charges melt and crumble all of the reinforced steel concrete.
Daniel: Any other news about the main team we have to assist?
Mimori (radio): That will be for later. The second one is the bionotic cyber-security operations terminal containing electronic mag-locks, powered by separate generators.
Daniel: Sounds like it's biometric-locked to me.
Mimori (radio): Exactly, you're gonna need a security card to open the door of the operations terminal center. The last one is going to be a bit tricky, cause it's composed of rotatable power grids that have to be connected to power up the elevator, which leads deeper into the facility's underground level containing the device called the "Vault".
Daniel: "Vault"? A device that's made to suppress the homunculi and harness all of its telepathy and psionics, isn't that right? They're using it to harness an unknown power that could be destructive enough to drive the entire world insane through dehumanizing human psyche and mind.
Mimori (radio): Powerful enough to drive the minds of people insane, if you asked me a bit late for that.
Daniel: Anything else?
Mimori (radio): Once you land with the rest of your team, you should be able to clear out the control tower and open the gate. JSDF Delta team should be able to clear out the research facility's areas outside the building, while you and Johann find a way to stop that device.

*beeping alert noise*

System A.I.: Missile lock. Missile lock.
Daniel: What the bloody hell is that?
Johann: Incoming missile! Flares, now!

Helix 1-1 (radio): Flares out.
Helix 2-1 (radio): Countermeasures away.

As the helicopters close in to the facility, they popped flares.

Helix 1-1 (radio): This is Helix 1-1. Greenlight on Bravo, go!

Bravo team rappels out of the helicopter, landing on the ground.

Daniel: Head for the control tower, we gotta open the gate! JSDF reinforcements are en route to this location, we need to find a way inside the facility!
Johann: Replicas incoming, take them out!

Daniel and Johann fight their way to the control tower against Replica Forces.

*gunfire*

Replica Soldier: S***!
*death scream*

As they are about to reach the stairs, a Heavy Armor gets in the way.

Grinch: Watch out, Heavy Armor!
Johann: D, that heavy is getting in the way! Fire the rocket launcher!
Daniel: Got it. Firing MOD-3!

Daniel fires the triple-barrel MOD-3 rocket launcher. Three small rocket warheads hit the heavy armor, killing it.

*multiple explosions*
*inhumane death scream*

They climb the stairs leading to the main gate control tower. Johann hacks the terminal to operate the gate controls, as Daniel assist Charlie and Bravo team. Weapon emplacements manned by Replica Soldiers fire at Bravo and Charlie, barely wounding some of them.

Gabriel: [Filipino] Daniel, those triple-A emplacements are trying to tear us apart! You gotta destroy them!
Daniel: [Filipino] Stay down!

He fires the rocket launcher at the weapon emplacements.

*rocket launch*
*multiple explosions*

The weapon emplacements are down, his rocket launcher has run out. He discarded it.

Daniel: We're out! That's the last of the MOD-3 rockets!

Johann finished hacking and opened the gates. He leaves the control room of the tower.

Johann: Come on... Yes! Gate is opening! Hold on, guys!

Replica Special Assault Elite Troopers appear, they appear to be deadlier and tougher.

Gabriel: More of them.
Johann: Special Assault Elite Troopers. Guys, watch out for them. They're using airburst explosive repeating cannons.
Daniel: MP-50s.

Replica Special Assault Elite Trooper 1: Open fire!

*gunfire noises*

Daniel used his reflex ability to slow down time, he and Johann took down the special soldiers in each consecutive hits.

*death scream*

JSDF reinforcements arrive to clear and secure the area. Daniel checks the dead trooper, and examines the repeating cannon.

Daniel: Guess he won't need it anymore. 20-milimeter airburst explosive, powerful enough to punch through armor.
Johann: Careful with that one, D. The rounds of that weapon explode before impact.
Daniel: Sure. I'm aware that this thing was made to punch through APC armor.
Johann: Heads up. Friendlies coming in, watch your fire. D, with me, we're going inside the research facility. The rest, secure the perimeter and immediately evacuate out of here. This could be a trap.

The three JSDF soldiers are now joining Johann and Daniel at the facility's main entrance.

Johann: We're going in. You three, you're with me.
JSDF Soldier 1, 2, & 3: Yes, Brigade General.

They all enter the facility. What could be inside this place?..
