Riiiiiiiinggggggggg
Agad akong napabaliktawas sa pwesto ko nang marinig ko ang bell . Damn. Nakatulog nanaman ako sa library . Niligpit ko na ang lahat ng gamit ko at pumunta sa librarian para mag time out .
" Mukhang napapadalas ata ang pagtulog mo dito ineng ha? Ano ba talaga ang pinagpupuyatan mo palagi? " naka-iling na tanong niya sa akin
" Busy lang ho sa academics " sagot ko at tipid na ngumiti sa kanya at umalis na
Academics. Talaga ba? Napa-iling nadin ako sa sarili ko habang patuloy na binabantas ang hallway papuntang classroom namin.
Section A .
Diyan ako pinasok ng principal . Ayaw ko sana . Dahil mas tatahimik ang buhay ko sa ibang section pero hindi ito pumayag dahil sobrang taas daw ng grades ko para ibaba sa ibang section.
I'm Katie Shayne Mercedes . My family owns tons of Winery . I am originally from Italy dahil nandoon ang business namin ng family pero I transferred here sa Philippines for no reason. My family is still in Italy tho. And as you know , I'm one the princesses and my codename is Lightning Twinkle. I do most of the critical thinking sa grupo whenever there's a mission .
" Oh you're here finally " bungad sa akin ni Professor Davis
" So class dahil kompleto na kayo . I'll announce the announcements" patuloy pa niya
" Since you're in class A. Your section is not allowed to join most of the activities on Voultur Week. Why? It is because nandito sa section niyo ang lahat ng Student Council members and most of the club presidents and each of them has tasks to dwell on . I'm afraid if you join the activities kulang ang mga members niyo . Therefore, since all of you belong to class A. You will be encharge of the Voultur week . All of you must facilitate on the activities being held and help the professors. All your tasks is listed here and I will pass it to Mr. Hermoso since he's the Student Council President. Do you understand? " mahabang pagpapaliwanag niya
Nag nod naman kami lahat
" You are only allowed to join individual contests namely , singing contest , pageant and the Survival Game " patuloy niya ulit
Survival Game?
" Survival Game ? Ano po iyon sir ? " tanong ng isa sa mga kaklase ko
" Ito ang isa sa mga highlight ng week natin. It will be a game kung saan every section ay may representative at maglaban-laban. Don't worry may orientation kayo about dito sa mga representative. In the mean time, Pipili muna tayo ng representatives. May contestant na tayo sa singing contest by the way. Whose gonna join the pageant? "
I saw Rox turning her head on me grinning before raising her hand. I glared at her at umiling na para bang nagsasabi na " Not me "
" Yes Ms. Ramirez? Any suggestions? Questions? "
" I would like to suggest Ms. Mercedes sir . She has both beauty and brains kung iyan ang pag-uusapan " naka-grin niyang sabi
Damn you Rox.
" Very well Ms. Ramirez. What do you think class? " tanong ni Prof. sa mga kaklase ko
" Yes "
" Pwede rin "
" Great Idea "
" No "
Ako lang ang nag NO .
" Bakit ayaw mo Ms. Mercedes ? You are a great fit at makakadagdag din ito sa extra curricular points mo " sabi niya
I just shrugged.
" I dont know how. Never been to one " I simply answered
" Your classmates can help you . They can teach you " dagdag pa niya na sinang-ayunan naman ng lahat
" Sige na Shayne "
" Just this time please "
" We are here to support you "
Marami pang pamimilit ang ginawa nila . I just rolled my eyes
" FINE. " I said , at nagsipag-hiyawan naman sila
" Very well, our contestant for the pageant is settled . Now whose gonna join the Survival Game ?" bigla namang sumeryoso ang paligid
No one uttered a word.
I looked around and my eyes met Rox's and an idea came into my mind . Wala namang problema right? Alam naman ng Seekers na magaling makipaglaban si Rox that is why kinuha nila siya and they will see her first battle on that game . I grinned and raised my hand
" Unfortunately hindi kana available Ms. Mercedes " sabi ni Prof.
" Not me . But Ms. Ramirez is available " I told him and pointed Rox
Rox glared at me . Na parang nagsasabing " PATAY KA SA AKIN"
" Hmm. Are you sure ? Most of the representatives in this game are boys " sabi niya
" I have seen her skills everytime may P.E kami and she's good " I assured him
" No " sabat naman ni Justine
Naka-kunot noo kaming tumingin lahat sa kanya
" What ? " masungit na tanong niya sa amin
" Why No? " tanong ni Prof.
" She will not join . May itinalaga kaming task sa kanya " tipid niyang sabi at nag cross-arms sa upuan niya
" You did not " sabat naman ni Rox
" Surely may ibang tao naman diyan na pwedeng pumalit kay Mr. Ramirez sa task na iyan Mr. Hermoso " sabi ni Prof.
Justine just shrugged.
" Let her fight. Malay natin, siya pa ang mananalo. I have seen her skills also kapag may P.E kami " sang ayon ni Arianna
" Me too "
" I have seen it also "
" She's good "
Sang-ayon naman ng iba . Napa-iling naman si Prof.
" Are you sure ? " confused parin niyang tanong
And we all said Yes in unison
" Okay. It is settled then . Ms. Ramirez will be joining the survival game " he announced
Rox just remained silent and looked at me with pleading eyes . I'm pretty sure she's flooded with thoughts and What if's . I just gave her a reassuring smile as if I'm telling " Everything's fine" . She finally smiled back .
Now We gotta have a plan . A plan to lure the Seekers .
And I smirked .
