Shayne's POV
" Line up ladies! Line up! " humalingawngaw na sigaw ng instructor namin sa pageant
Kinakabahan ako . This is the first day of rehearsals at maraming pumapasok sa utak ko . What if mali yung na practice namin ni kuya kevin ?. Kuya Kevin is my coach . He taught me many things . From the walk to poses and facial expressions and damn it was so hard . Masakit pa sa paa ang heels .
The instructor pulled us to our respective places para sa intro .
" Damn " I silently cursed dahil sa harap niya ako inilagay
" Okay . Mula sa backstage . Sunod-sunod kayong lumabas at pumunta sa mga lugar ninyo. Okay? " he said
Tumango naman kaming lahat.
" Okay. Let's try . From the top " he commanded
Sumunod naman kaming lahat . I'm nervous. First time kong maglakad sa stage although I have practiced it already .
" And by the way . Introduce yourself para naman makilala ko kayo " pahabol pa niya bago nag-play ng music
Agaran akong lumabas dahil ako ang first year at Class A at rumampa . My body felt so light at nawala ang kaba ko nang makita ko ang mga tao doon na todo smile sa akin at yung iba pumalakpak pa
" Katie Shayne Mercedes , 18 . Representing 1st year's Class A" I introduced myself at rumampa pabalik sa backstage
As I arrive parang nangatong naman ang aking mga tuhod at napa-upo nalang ako sa sahig .
" Oh my god. I survived " I felt relieved
" Hey Are you okay? " tanong ng isa sa mga fourth year at tinulungan akong tumayo
" Salamat po . Kinabahan lang po " all of them chuckled
" Natural lang iyan . First timer ka kasi " sabi naman ng isa sa mga Third year
" You looked professional awhile ago. Parang hindi halata na bago ka " sabi ng isa sa mga fourth year
I just smiled at them and thanked them before going back to the last part of the line .
" All done? Okay ladies get back here . I got something to tell you " the instructor yelled outside
Lumabas naman kaming lahat and all of our eyes shifted to the men standing beside the instructor . They are all wearing uniforms . But not from our school . They all looked stunning at parang mga totoong model . And they all looked expensive .
" Okay Guys . Go to your respective numbers na binigay ko sa inyo online and strike a pose para malaman ko kung bagay " he commanded the boys
Agad namang kumilos ang mga lalaki at isa-isang unakyat sa stage until one guy stood beside me .
" Who are you? " I suddenly ask
" I'm your partner " he winked and then held my waist para mapalapit ako sa kanya
" Pose " sabi pa niya
I immediately hung my hands at his shoulder as he held my waist .
" Hmmm That's good. Lahat bagay. Okay you can let go of each other now " the instructor instructed again
" Ladies . Meet your partners. They are exchange students from Robertson Academy and nandito sila para sumali at mag observe sa school natin " he explained
All of us turned to our partners who later on introduced themselves
" Hi I'm Silver Nick Maquentosh " then he flashed his handsome smile at me at inabot ang kamay para makipag shakehands
" Hi . Katie Shayne Mercedes " tipid naman akong ngumiti at tinanggap ang kamay niya
" Okay . Make time to get to know your partners okay? . Dito na matatapos ang rehearsals . Excused kayo bukas . Dismissed " the instructor said
Lahat naman kami bumaba na sa stage at nagligpit ng mga gamit . Umupo naman ako sa upuan upang pumalit ng sapatos
" hey " someone sat beside me.
" Yo " I greeted back . It's Silver
" Can I ask you favor? " he said
" Sure . What is it? " sang ayon ko naman habang pumapalit parin ng sapatos
" Let me help you with that " he then kneeled in front of me and fixed my shoelaces
My heartbeat raced . But I remained calm
" Can you tour me around the school? Hindi ko pa kasi medyo kabisado at baka maligaw ako bukas papunta dito . There finished " he said at tumayo na
" Sure thing . Medyo maaga pa naman " I agreed
" So , let's go ? Pag usapan narin natin ang gagawin natin sa pageant " he joyfully held my wrist and pulled me up
" Oo na . Excited ka masyado " naiiling na sabi ko sa kanya and chuckled
" First time kong pumunta sa public school . Private kasi ako simula bata pa " kwento niya sa akin habang naglalakad kami sa hallway
" So ? Anong first impression mo? " I asked him
"This is quite big than what I expected it to be . Marami ding buildings " he answered
" Oh cool . It's the cafeteria " he added at walang ka ano-anong pumasok doon
" You're hungry? " I asked him
" I'm starving . We didn't eat kanina sa school namin dahil we were busy packing and arranging documents for our visit here sa school niyo " he explained while eyeing the menu
" Poor guy , ok then order all you want. My treat " and I patted his head
" Really? Wow . First time kong nakatanggap ng libre sa isang babae " he giggled and immediately ordered . Aww such a cutie
" Silly . Bayad ko na iyon sa iyo kanina sa pag tulong mo sa akin " I replied habang ginagala ang mga mata ko sa paligid . I notice some of the students eyeing at us . Maybe dahil sa lalaking katabi ko . Sino ba naman ang hindi papansin dito . Ang gwapo at mukhang mayaman not to mention na iba ang uniform niyang sinusuot .
" I'm done ordering . Let's find a table " he said while carrying the tray full of foods that we ordered
" Icecream? Cake? . You're manly physically but you're a kid by heart " sabi ko sakanya ng mapansin ko ang mga dala niyang pagkain
He just pouted at me which made me laugh
" What? It's my favorite food " pagmamaktol niya habang umuupo kami
" What are you doing here? " someone interrupted our talk
" K-kuya ? " Silver was shocked when he saw the guy who interrupted us
" Kuya? " I asked confused
