"Y/N? Y/N? Hello?", Dan says as he is shaking me lightly to wake me up.

Once I open my eyes, he looks at me: "Bad dream again?"

I sigh and sit up in the hot bed while rubbing my eyes. Lately, I haven't been feeling too well. I am nauseous almost every morning and bad dreams are haunting my sleep: "Yes..."

Dan sits closer to me and wipes the tears on my cheek: "This really isn't normal. Do you feel nauseous again?"

I shrug: "A tiny bit."

"And you don't have a fever.", he says when he puts his hand on my forehead, "you sure you aren't..."

"Definitely.", I cut him off before he can ask me if I think I am pregnant. I'm not being completely honest with him because I have the slight feeling I am. But because news like these will make him even more disappointed if I'm not, I decide it will be best to maybe take a test while he's working. If I'm not pregnant it will be fine but if I am, I want to figure out a better way of telling him than just saying it.

A few hours later a sigh escapes my lips as I put down the pregnancy test. It has been a minute and the results showing are negative. I have no clue if the sigh is of relieve or disappointment because I genuinely kinda feel pregnant and everyone always says a mother knows when she's pregnant.

I throw it into the trashcan next to the toilet and leave the bathroom: "You okay?", Dan asks me when I walk past the lounge.

"Yea."

"Are you sure? You look paler than usual.", his worried tone makes me nervous.

"I'm sure. Don't worry."

He shrugs and goes back to editing a gaming video.

We've been engaged for a few months and told everyone important. To my surprise most people, including my parents, knew what he had planned and helped him set it up. Back when we visited my family in Switzerland over Christmas, he asked my parents for their blessing.

While he is still busy, I sit at the kitchen table and read a book that was sent to us by Louise. When we told her, she was extremely happy and requested, no demanded, Darcy to be the flower girl. It seems as everything is going perfect, just the negative test put me in a slightly upset mood.

Later that day, Dan goes out to meet up with some school friends and even though he asked me to come along, I stay in and get caught up with some series.

I hear a quiet knock on the door just as I finish an episode: "Y/N?"

"Yes?", the door opens and Phil comes in.

"You alright?", I smile and ask him since he looks a little bit worried.

"Yea, um, the thing is that, um..."

I laugh: "What?"

"Did you take a test?"

I look at him, confused.

"Pregnancy test.", he clarifies.

"Eh. Yes. I did.", I bite down on my lip.

"Oh, sorry if I wasn't supposed to know!"

"No, no. It's fine down worry. I don't really care if you know."

A little confused, he smiles: "Well congratulations!"

"Thanks.", I say ironically.

"Did you not want this to happen or what?"

"I don't really mind honestly, it wasn't supposed to be I guess but I'm a little disappointed."

"I'm sorry. Did you tell Dan?", he asks.

"No. I'm not sure I will, it's not a big deal but mayb-"

"Hold on. I'm confused. What do two lines mean?"

"Pregnant."

"Am I imagining things?"

"What are you on about, Phil?"

"There were two lines on it, I'm certain."

I sit up from the bed: "Okay firstly, were did you see the test anyways?"

"In the bin, I was about to take the trash out."

I jump up and run to the bin I threw it in along with the packaging.

Thankfully, it is right at the top, starring back at me with two bright lines.

I grab the packaging and read the back to make sure I am not confusing the number of lines. And I'm not.

What I did miss was how long I had to wait for the proper results, making me realize that I waited for one instead of three minutes.
