WANDA MAXIMOFF WAS lounging in her room, filing the end of her long nails when her door opened with a loud swing, and a girl emerged from the other side.

"Hey! I was just gonna see if you wanted to-"

Martina, with very little regard for politeness, barged into Wanda's room with fierce determination and complete avoidance of her question.

"I need you to unseal my memories."

Wanda snapped her head back as she slowly slinked off the bed, her green eyes wide with apprehensiveness as she approached Martina. "I understand you're frustrated but-"

"No!" Martina shouted, her temper skyrocketing, not because of fear or rage, but resolution. "I need to know, Wanda. Bucky's sessions have been great but it's not helping fast enough. I can't do this without knowing. Please."

There was so much Wanda wanted to say and so many things she wanted to do- none of those involved jailbreaking into Martina's mind and tearing it apart from inside out- but looking at the frightened girl in front of her, she knew that she could not deny her the truth.

It wasn't fair to allow her to be hidden from herself when Wanda could so easily unseal the mystery for her.

Wanda sighed as she pressed her head to her forehead. "Bucky is going to kill me for doing this. Oh, God, Artemis is-"

"It's not their choice," Martina snapped, stomping her foot. "It's my mind. Bucky's proven that even bad memories can help you grow. He's alive, right? I deserve the same."

Wanda nodded her head apologetically and held her hand out. "Come on, you might want to lay down."

Although Martina had been so determined, her nerves quickly poured back into her as she was debating whether or not she really wanted to go through with it. She pushed aside all those fears and nodded viciously as she did as requested.

She tried to steady her breathing as she saw Wanda hover over her with her fingers twitching with magic.

Wanda was about to bring her hands down until she stopped and made eye contact with Martina. "I'm really sorry about this. This might hurt a bit."

And with a loud howl, Martina felt Wanda's powers invade her mind and begin to crack and claw at the walls that had been mounted to seal her memories so many years ago.

Martina was now trapped in her own mind-

And it was terrifying.

Martina opened her eyes and gasped when she found herself in her childhood home. It was so different than she had pictured it to be.

She was standing in her living room which was decorated with brightly colored furniture and there were several Virgin Mary statues resting on every inch. There was the light sound of merengue trickling through the radio in the kitchen and she felt the warm humid breeze coming through the open window on her left.
