INT. COTERIE - DAVIA'S LOFT - NIGHT

Davia is sitting on her bed, fiddling with her fingers nervously, as Dennis stands by the door. Dennis is trying to process what Davia just told him. Davia's mother is coming to town, Bonnie is coming to town.

DENNIS
That's...sudden.

DAVIA
Yeah.

DENNIS
How long is she staying?

DAVIA
Just the weekend, three days. Although three days with my mom in town feels like an eternity.

Dennis nods, still trying to process everything that Davia just told him. Davia stands, walking over to him, grabbing his hand.

DAVIA
I know the last time she was here she tried to trick you into thinking you slept with her...and I don't blame you if you feel uncomfortable with her staying here. She can always stay in a hotel.

DENNIS
No, it's fine. I'm fine. Your mom can stay here.

DAVIA
Are you sure?

DENNIS
I'm sure. I will be fine, I promise.

Davia squeezes his hand lightly.

DAVIA
Okay, I'll let her know.

DENNIS
Does she know about us?

Davia looks down at Dennis' hand in hers, bitting her lip. She looks back up at him and sighs.

DAVIA
No, not yet. It's a conversation I don't want to have over the phone, she needs to hear it from me in person.

DENNIS
Yeah, of course.

Davia lets go of Dennis' hand, walking back over to her bed to grab her phone. She types out a text, hitting send, and sets her phone back on her bed. Davia sighs, clearly feeling stressed and uneasy. Dennis senses this, as he walks over and sits beside her on the bed. Davia is looking down at her fingers, fiddling with them. Dennis lightly grabs her chin, pointing it upwards to look at him.

DENNIS
Hey, look at me.

Davia turns her head to look at him.

DENNIS
I love you. We're going to get through this, okay?

Davia tiredly smiles at him.

DAVIA
Okay.

Davia lays her head on his chest. Dennis kisses the top of her forehead, rubbing her back softly.

INT. COTERIE - KITCHEN - MORNING

Alice is sitting at the table, drinking her cup of coffee when Malika walks out of her loft, her purse slung over her shoulder. Alice eyes her suspiciously, taking a sip of her coffee. Malika notices Alice watching her closely, she rolls her eyes.

MALIKA
What Alice?

Alice lightly sets down her mug, raising her eyebrows at Malika, her lips pursed.

ALICE
Nothing!! Nothing! You just look...very dressed up.

Malika smirks, looking down at her outfit.

MALIKA
I'm wearing jeans and a sweater, I'd hardly call that dressed up.

ALICE
You still look nice!! What's the occasion?

MALIKA
Nothing, Zion and I are going to get some drinks.

ALICE
Who?

MALIKA
Zion, my friend I introduced you to at Trap Heals.
