After months, and months of interviewing with companies, he finally got in with the SAGE. One of those huge game selling companies, where being a packager can pay a lot. Plus, their company is located all the way in Tokyo.
Once he lets go of you, he rests his arm around your shoulders. He deeply sighs, with a smile on his face. You could feel the happiness oozing out of him.
"What do you say? You think this is worth a nice little celebration, ehh?" he sways a bit, obviously anticipating for you to agree with his thought out idea.
"Well, if we do, then we could cancel my birthday plans. I don't want use spending lots of money, even if you just got an amazing job-"
"It's settled then! We're combing your birthday celebration with my work celebration! You may invite whoever, as long as Masa and his family comes along." he simply states and walks off to his room.
You smile to yourself, beyond happy for your father. His hard work for searching for a job was finally taken in. Almost making you become emotional for him, then you remembered there's a party soon. Not today, but the planning itself won't be easy.

A sudden doorbell ring was heard and you quickly opened the door. The mailman calmly handed you the mail, then you shut the door.
"Anything important?" your father asks, walking back into the room with a beer. He sat in the chair across from you and turned on the television.
You mutter to yourself, flipping through all this junk mail. Until, one of the addresses caught your eye.
"To, Tsutsui Y/N?" you say and pull out the sealed envelope. "From.....{dream school}."
Your father nearly spit out his beer and set it down on the table before spilling anything.
"What!?" he exclaims as you show him the envelope. "We'll open the damn thing already!"
