His Will Be Done, My Time has not yet Come

I humble myself and still my soul in the silence
And praise the One who works in the Present quiet
Shall this Author's character, try to exceed His story
When he has been perfectly placed to bring his Author glory?

If He does not move, then my time has not yet come
The Hidden and Divine Architect
Holds me in His purpose
His Kingdom come
His Will be done

The world vies for unfading glory in vain
What flesh sows in toil, it reaps in flame
He who waits on Him who faithfully sustains
Builds not for his own but his Creator's Name

If He does not move, then your time has not yet come
The Hidden and Divine Architect
Holds you in His purpose
His Kingdom come
His Will be done

Turn away your eyes from this world that glistens
And take a break from its noise and listen
It is good that you should hope and quietly wait
That you may know He is in your midst
And He shall never put you to shame

If He does not move, then your time has not yet come
The Hidden and Divine Architect
Holds you in His purpose
His Kingdom come
His Will be done

It is good for a man in his youth to bear his load
To keep silent and sit alone
Though God has laid before me this hard road
He has subjected, not in futility but, in hope

If He does not move, then my time has not yet come
The Hidden and Divine Architect
Holds me in His purpose
His Kingdom come
His Will be done

Though He has led me into the wilderness
I will cease from regret
He knows the way I take
His treasure comes from His test
He who waits on Him is surely blessed
And those who ask for ancient paths to walk in them
Their souls shall find rest

If He does not move, then my time has not yet come
The Hidden and Divine Architect
Holds me in His purpose
His Kingdom come
His Will be done

Who can explain His hand in moving
When our parts in this page-age He seems bent (or let us go) on ruining?
Yet faith will find the end, His glory, proving
All men shall reverence and declare His work
For they shall wisely consider His doing

And when He moves, then our time will have come
The Hidden and Divine Architect
Will fulfill in us His purpose
His Kingdom come
His Will be done
Not our's, not mine

Wait on thy Lord and Father
He has promised, He shall come
And answer His daughter and son
