Tyree sat down at the kitchen table with his mom, Kaymoni, and India. It had been a month since India called and told him she was pregnant.
"How far along are you?" Tracy asked India. She wasn't upset since Tyree is a full grown man and was atleast owning up to his responsibilities. The only thing that rubbed her the wrong way was how she never knew about India.
"5 months. I'm due in August." She told her and Tracy nodded.
"What are y'all having?" Kaymoni asked.
"A boy." Tyree smiled. At first he was stressing about having a kid but now he's excited to have a son.
"Y'all together?"
"No." India said at the same time as Tyree said. "Yes."
Laughing a little Tyree shook his head. "It's a working progress." He explained looking over at India.
They've known one another for over 2 years. It started as a one night stand which grew into something more over time. India was the shy time and that definitely caught Tyree's attention.
Sometime late last year they cut ties after a petty disagreement which lead to them not speaking for over 4 months. Eventually Tyree put his pride aside and reached out only to be shut down everytime.
At first he thought she may have gotten a new boyfriend but in reality, India was figuring out a way to tell him she was carrying his child.
"You ain't shit how come you ain't introduce her earlier." Kaymoni said and hit his arm once they walked out the kitchen.
"Damn young man." He made a face and rubbed the spot. "And ion know i neva got a chance too." He shrugged. At the time India was in collage so she was traveling back and fourth causing her and Tyree to hardly see one another until she graduated.
Around the time of her graduation is when they fell off. From that point Tyree just didn't feel the need to tell Kaymoni or his mom.
After sitting and getting to know a little more about India, Kaymoni went to pick up Madison since she was staying for the weekend.

Kaymoni sat parked on the curb waiting for Madison in the car cause she didn't feel like talking up a storm with her aunt and uncle. While scrolling through Twitter someone came and knocked on her window which made her jump.
"Dafuq?" She made a face rolling down the window. "Oh my God."
"Wassup girl." Ron said and opened her door. Getting out she instantly jumped in his arms.
"I see you missed a nigga." He chuckled and squeezed her waist.
"Before you ask i been moved back weeks ago." He told her.
"And you ain't ever try to reach out?" She tilted her head.
"Shit ian have yo number, socials nun." He threw his hands up. "You look different."
"Good different?"
"Fucking yeah." He said and pulled her back in for a hug.
"AM I INTERRUPTING SOMETHING?" Madison yelled walking up to the car. Laughing Kaymoni pulled away.
"Get ina car." She told Madison as she laughed. "You live down here now?"
"Nah i'm visiting my folks i'm staying with my dad at the moment." He told her and she nodded. They exchanged numbers and one last hug before parting ways.
"Who was dat?" Madison asked Kaymoni while waiting on their food.
"Old friend from middle school."
"Y'all must got history from the way you was damn near suffocating him." She said laughing.
"We were really good friends before he moved away." She explained and Madison nodded.

Kaymoni and Madison were doing Tiktoks till late that night. After doing their nails with a kit they picked up from Walmart they'd just been back and fourth from dancing and watching tv.
"What's yo plans after you graduate?" Madison asked Kaymoni.
"Ion really know." She shrugged. "College i guess."
"Youn wanna go ta college?"
"I do but i'm not sure on what i want to major in yet." She explained. "How bout you boo? You graduated in 2 years."
"I wanna go to TSU. Major in psychology."
"Why psychology?"
"I wanna learn more about the human mind and how it works. Ion know but it's very interesting to me." Madison explained and Kaymoni nodded.
